Hello there.
You're (y/n). You currently live in London and you're 25 years old. - Many experiences in life made turn into a very independent, reserved and arrogant girl at times. You could also be stubborn, quite bold and sarcastic.
Those were a few traits that people found tedious, yet you still believed that you were a nice girl to have around. People just had to win your trust in order to feel comfortable enough to be yourself, or else, you would hide behind the shield you created to keep yourself safe from more disappointments.
On the other hand, your family wasn't the best one out there - I mean, you still had your mother and a brother, but it wasn't like you talked a lot with them lately. And your dad...
Well, there isn't a lot to say about him, honestly. That asshole left shortly after finding out your mom was pregnant and never came back, like the big coward he was. You didn't need, and much less miss him since you have never seen him.
It might seem like your life wasn't a bed full of roses in the past and... That's true, it wasn't - but it isn't like it got much better over the years.
You worked in a pretty boring and dark office, from Monday to Saturday. You could spend hours talking shit about your job: the many problems you had to deal with everyday, attending boring meetings where no one gives an actual fuck about anything, and dealing with rude people all the time
But all you could do was put up with it...
At least for now.

"Hey, (y/n)?" -You heard a voice next to you, which belonged to Matt, your friend.
You sighed instantly knowing that he'd ask for help again. -"What now?"
"I need you to help me with this." -He replied ignoring your blunt answer, even though you could see a little frown in his face. -"You know, check it so I know it's okay?"
You complained, groaning as you rolled your eyes dramatically.
Matt was your best friend, even though it doesn't really seem like that right now — You met him a few years ago at a bar. It was back then when you felt more lonely than ever, so when you decided to drastically put an end to that feeling.
You saw him in the corner of the pub, talked to him, and that was like a fresh start for you.
After Matt and you got to know each other, you realized that he was in the very same situation as you. Then you both ended up having a little fling — but just that, and it didn't last long. However, you've had an amazing relationship with him since then. You couldn't ask for more, honestly.
"Alright, let me see." -You got up from your chair and stepped closer to him.
You placed one hand on the back of his chair, and the other one on the wooden desk. You lowered yourself to take a better look of what he was showing you.
"Hm... You should change those white words and make them black, you cannot really read them with that background, you know." -You said still looking at his screen. -"And make this a little bit bigger."
"I've changed it like thirty times now." -He groaned, rubbing his face with his left hand, the other one still resting on the computer mouse. -"I'm so tired."
"Aww, well... I'm sorry about that, mate." -You said patting his back twice and grabbing your cigarette packet. This stressful job made you smoke way more than you should.
"Can you do it for me?" -He looked up at you again. -"Just this one, I swear."
"No." -You simply replied, lighting up one of your cigarettes.
