Alexander opened his mouth to speak, but before he could ask another question you didn't want to answer, you turned around and went to the little balcony, craving some fresh air and a smoke.

Feeling the cold of night, you grabbed a cigarette and placed it in your mouth, lighting it. When you inhaled the smoke, you felt more relaxed in the very first second it reached your lungs. You placed one elbow on the railing; one hand holding the cigarette and the other under your chin.

"I never thought you would be one to be addicted to that bad habit, darling." -Alexander's voice echoed behind you.

"Well, we all get addicted to everything that takes away the problems, don't we?" -You said, taking another drag of it. You felt him steal it from your hand, making you frown. He started smoking with you.

"I must admit I like the way you think." -He blurted out after a few minutes.

You just nodded. Not feeling confident enough to meet his gaze, you admired the view of the street in front of you.

You started to notice the way Alexander made you feel. He was having that effect on you, and you weren't exactly happy about it.

"Why are you so quiet tonight?" -He asked again, interrupting your thoughts.

"Uh?" -You said, finally looking at him. -"Oh, It's nothing, I'm just... thinking."

"May I ask about what?"

"I..." -You bit your lower lip, taking a short breath.

You thought for a second about telling him the truth - that you were scared of developing feelings towards him anytime soon, but you absolutely refused to have him taking advantage of that.

Even if you looked like nothing could hurt you, it was obvious that Alexander making fun of your feelings would break you; and you didn't want that to happen.

So you lied, again.

"It's just that I still don't know what I want... You know, for the soul thing." -You said, hoping he would believe you.

Alexander sighed and handed you the cigarette, which was almost finished by now.

"You're absolutely taking your damn time... But you still have two days, remember?"

"I know." -You took the last drag of the cigarette and let it on the ashtray next to you. -"I still can't believe this is happening."

"Well, it is happening... But you should clear your mind for a while now." -He said, turning his body to you.

"And how am I going to do that?" -You questioned.

"Wanna dance under the moonlight..." -He said getting closer to you. -"with the Devil?"

You felt the biggest lump in your throat as he pronounced those words.

The way Alexander looked at you made clear the fact that he knew how to make you feel flustered and nervous, enjoying every second of it. Your heart was pounding fast in your chest and you opened your mouth to answer, but nothing came out. Alexander raised one eyebrow, still waiting for your answer.

"B-But there isn't any music." -You stammered.

He just half smiled, in that way that could make your knees weak.

"That's certainly not a problem, love."

He closed his eyes softly, and in the blink of an eye, you could hear a beautiful, slow tune coming from God knows where. Opening his eyes again, which were beautifully shiny, he smirked - finding amusing the surprised look in your face.
