LIE TO ME→Edward Cullen

The morning started as it always did with Alice fussing over May's clothes and hair making sure she fit in with the rest of them and Maylene's pouting as Alice always seemed to get her way.  With many sighs and groans like any other teenager May made her way to school with Edward driving in his silver Volvo watching as the trees passes by in blurs clenching and unclenching her jaw gently. 

Though no one knew still she did. 

Bella Swan would be at Forks high school today and Edward's life would change. 

May was nervous and lying to protect herself. 

"I think today 'll be a good day" she mumbled softly as they pulled into the parking lot already feeling and hearing the rush of pumping hearts at their arrival. 

"Why do you say that?" He asked a slight smile on his face turning the car off. "Something about the air Cullen," She responded teasingly taking in a deep breath as she patted his shoulder softly as she opened the door to the car. A thick eyebrow shot up on his pale face. "yeah?" He asked inquisitively. May looked over for a moment locking eyes with him  "yeah." she said adding a small smile on her face before exiting the car suddenly and closing the door to the expensive car behind her in the process. Her hair fell over her back curling in certain places some pieces framing her perfect face and  she adjusted the backpack on her back quickly and gracefully making her way to Rosalie hooking arms with her walking into the school feeling eyes as usual follow them.

Much to her pleasure May shared every class with one of her siblings her favorite having been with Jasper. Mostly because all they did was make jokes the entire period under their breaths and acutely tried to annoy Edward from wherever he sat in the school. 

The day went on slowly as it was now came time for the traditional walk into the cafeteria. May stood behind Alice and Jasper next to Edward. She watched as Rosalie and Emmett went in first then Alice and Jasper. A pale lanky arm went around her shoulder and she walked into the doors of the cafeteria. All eyes on the pair. Both sets of vampires ears picking up on the sound of Jessica Stanley's rant to the new girl. "That's Edward and Maylene Cullen," she said. "both devastatingly beautiful but apparently no one here is good enough for them." She added with a slight huff. Edward craned his neck down to May's ear gently. "You hear that? we aren't good enough for them." He said with a smirk on his face a soft laugh leaving him. May gave him a stern look in response slightly elbowing him in the process. 

The pair finally sat at the table next to each sitting in front of the tray Emmett and Rosalie bought them. May knew what was about to happen her eyes trailing to the table where Bella Swan sat their eyes connecting for a moment before she looked away picking at her food. 

 His hand suddenly had clutched to hers under the table. Her head snapped to him as she felt the pressure of his hand. "I...I can't read her mind." he explained quietly still peering at the doe eyed brunette across the cafeteria. 

"Maybe she's a shield." she suggested offhandedly in a playful tone knowing full well the truth.

His blood singer would cause problems but at least one of them would be happy and she was glad for it would be Edward.
