His brows furrowed at the look in May's eyes and surprise took at the sight of her hair. Though he couldn't just walk over to her now. He continued in tow with Bella turning away from May. 

Soon the new couple had made it inside the school and all people went to talking but they all stared at the Cullens. Now was right about the time they had added to their list of new news. May Cullen cut her hair?" a girl whispered to her friend as May walked passed them. "Is that Edward's flannel?" she heard as she quickly made her way to the school. Today was going to be eventful to say the least.

May walked the halls the sound of her shoes slightly loud due to the people stopping what they were doing to stare. She walked into the cafeteria not waiting Edward knowing he would be with Bella. She sat down with a huff next to Emmett. Like most days they talked amongst themselves. May had decided to stay out her mind drifting. 'I wonder how Toby is?' she thought while tapping her fingers against the table lightly. A distant look in her eye. 

The smell of a human closer than usual had caused Jasper to stiffen to a point. Alice gripped his arm and May snapped out of her thoughts. Edward took a seat next to May and Bella next to Edward. The Cullens stared at the young Swan girl their faces etched with different emotions. 

"Bella this is my family." He introduced. Alice glowed slightly at the swan girls place at the table. "That's Jasper, Alice, Rosalie, Emmett, and Maylene," He said gesturing to everyone. "Bella! I was wondering when Edward would introduce you," Alice stated her eyes flashing to Edward for a second. The awkward girl flushed a red and stuttered with her response. Though May hadn't cared to listen. She had decided on not quite associating nor attaching herself to the girl. It was for the better. 

May sat silent at the table slightly sat leaned away from Edward while Alice and Emmett tried speaking to the human. Rose and May looking to eachother and in that snap moment they knew they both hadn't been fond of the girl. May looked away and stood abruptly. Everyone in the cafeteria looked to her as she exited. She looked back to Rose as if to invite her to join her. Rosalie took from her seat tugging Emmett in tow with her.

Petty would be the word that would describe what May had done in the cafeteria. Though she didn't care. She walked the halls her shoes tapping lightly as she walked once again. Though this time the vampire wasn't walking to class nor the cafeteria, she was leaving the school. 

Edward watched as her hand hit to push the door open. In a swift motion she left not leaving her mind open to tell him where she was going.

Her thin long pale fingers played with the end of her sleeve as she walked the halls of the hospital not wanting to be caught by Carlisle. She swiftly made it to room two forty five, she listened for any sign of a nurse or doctor or any kind of visitor. With no extra heartbeat she made her way into the room. The door opened and her eyes caught sight to a sleeping Toby. His eyes closed and his mouth slightly parted. His chest moved with steady even breaths a copy of tuck everlasting resting in one of his hands while the other was on his stomach. 

May closed the door softly as she made her way to sit in a chair. She watching for a moment, his brown almost a golden brown swept slight to the left like it always was. A slight snore coming from him. His neck craned to the side in an uncomfortable position. He looked peaceful overall. She felt like Edward watching someone sleep like this. Her eyes traveled to study him some more. His jaw sharp and a small mole on his forehead and two more on his temple, his eyebrows thick and untidy. She could see the small hairs that weren't visible to the human eye unless you were close enough. She furrowed her eyebrows. Surly it must be uncomfortable to sleep like that.
