I haven't written in so long and I'm so sorry.

Thunder seemed to come from within the building. The lights overhead dimmed until a single spotlight was focused on the tall figure in the middle of the semicircle, his menacing aura only growing as dark smoke leaked from his body flooding the floor in midnight waves.

Laurent stood upright, straightening out his suit with the grace of an immortal and a smirk that rivaled even the most beautiful of fairies. It was a look that sent shivers down the spines of everyone surrounding him. His body shielded Larry from view.

Placing his hands in his pockets, his head tilted looking at the two figures blocking the elevator door. "Well... Aren't you going to pay respects to your King and his mate?" His voice cut the air like a sword, playful with a hidden tone of impending death. The men around them immediately dropped to their knees in a deep bow, even Larry's father wasn't immune to the power coming from Hades himself, having fallen to his knees as soon as Laurent was kind enough to voice his thoughts. His mother however stood proud with her nose pointed toward the high ceiling but Larry could see her eyes darting to and fro as she looked for an escape route.

She smoothed out her hair, tucking it behind her ear before folding her arms under her chest pushing up her breast that was already nearly revealed in the short red dress she wore. "I'm sorry but who are you?... you know what, never mind." She tried her best to see around Laurents foreboding figure but gave up waving a hand, "...just please tell your men to move to I can grab my child."

Where her face was calm, her voice betrayed. She was shaking from the forced effort to keep her pinch of dignity in front of this beautiful man never looking at him directly in fear that she'll break. Laurent knew she was frightened but he knew her greed overruled her common sense.

Larry tugged on his jacket shuffling closer and whispering low so only Laurent could hear, "I-I don't wanna go.... please..."

Laurent clenched a fist in his pants, the sound of his baby's voice filled with pain brought back the feelings of unfamiliar guilt. He hated that he didn't interfere more in that basement. He hated that Larry's mind flashed to when he was but a shadow to him. He hated that Larry took comfort in him even then, that he didn't care if he was there to kill him only in that he was no longer alone down there in the dark. Laurent's eyes glowed red in his fury when he remembered the boy shivering in pain with chains around his neck and wrist, how small he was and still is. The scars that'll forever litter his body and soul. He thought of every flinch and gasp he got from just being near another person.

A growl tore through the air and suddenly Larry's small arms were around his waist making Laurent's senses come back just enough to notice how he had begun to shift into his true form, "LAURENT CALM DOWN PLEASE!!!"

He fought hard to settle his being, sneering at the weak men who were fleeing the hallway, leaving it bare with just them and the bile that was Larry's incubator.

Larry's mom took to opportunity to grab Larry's hair, yanking him back hard enough for his back to slam onto the marble ground. She gave him a resounding slap to the face that echoed in the silence, "LOOK AT WHAT YOUVE DONE. WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO TOUCH HIM HUH?!? WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT!" She turned to Laurent with practiced gentleness, "I'm sorry about that now-"

Shadows darkened the corridor further bursting the overhead lights as Laurent's mind sank further into fury. His physical form flashed out before the air around him froze and long fingers with sharp black nails broke through the smoke. Picking his mother as if she was a dirty tissue and lifting her a clean thirty feet into the air. She failed to scream for mercy as her mascara soiled her polished face.
