It was a few days before the prom and you were in your room getting ready for bed until you heard your door open
"Y/n you need to chose," said Zack as he pushed Slater so he could enter first
"I bed your pardon?" You asked as you were confused as to why two of your best friends were in your room
"Y/n who are you taking to prom?" Asked Slater, you stood up and groaned
"Please don't make me I like you both," you said as you sat on your bed
"So who are you taking?" Asked Zack You sighed
"Let me sleep on it and I'll let you two know Tomorrow morning," you said as you pushed the two boys out of your room while Zack lingered a little bit
"If you ever need help look behind slaters back," said Zack as you rolled you eyes when you saw the sign that said say no to slater and yes to Zack
"Leave you doof," you said as you pushed Zack out of the room

It was the next day and you were walking down bayside hallway with Lisa and Kelly beside you
"So you finally made a choice?" Asked Lisa, you nodded your head opening your locker after you opened your locker Slater and Zack popped out from behind the lockers
"So who is it going to be?" Asked Slater as the two boys stood in the hallway while everybody else formed around the three people
"I choose.... Slater," you said as you pointed at Slater after you said that Zack had a meltdown
"No why him?! I'm more pretty then he is," said Zack
You patted Zack on the shoulder and walked away with Slater who had his arm around you
"If it makes you feel better I'll go with you," said Kelly as she stood in front of Zack
"Nah it won't be the same," said Zack as he walked away Kelly stood there shrugging her shoulders and walking away

It was the night of the prom and you had a change of plans. Your father has lost his job making you short on money making you cancel your plan with skater for the prom.
You were sitting in your room with your oversized bayside shirt with some sweats and some Ugg boots, when all the sudden your dad came in
"y/n, are you ok?" Asked your dad as he came into the room "your mother told me you were looking forward to the prom,"
"I was a little sad at first but... I needed to help my family," you said as you smiled, your eyes were red from crying
"Well there's someone here to see you," said your dad as he motioned for Slater to come in as your dad left the two of you alone
"Your dad told me about the situation, why didn't you tell me?" Asked Slater
"I don't know but why aren't you at the prom?" You asked
"Well I wouldn't want to go if the girl I loved wasn't there," said Slater as he tucked a piece of your hair behind your ear making you blush
"Aww I think I'm going to cry," you said as you fanned your face
"Yea your dad warned me about that, but the night isn't over yet," said Slater
"What do you mean?" You asked confused
Slater took your hand dragging you behind him

As you arrived at the spot it looked familiar
"Slater what is all this?" You asked as you smiled
"Since we both can't go to the prom... I thought we could enjoy our own," said Slater
"Aww this is so sweet," you said as you gushed as you say down in front of you was a cake that almost didn't have frosting on it
"Sorry I had to wrestle Alan for this cake," said Slater as he laughed
"Oh so that explains why this cake slice barely have frosting," you said
"I'm sorry this isn't the prom you wanted but... I tried my best," said Slater as he grabbed your hand from the table across from him
"It may not be perfect but I'm just glad I'm here with you," you said
Then the two of you leaned in to kiss, the girls were beaming and screech was trying to calm a crying Zack
