You couldn't believe that your best friend and former crush Billy Andrews was set up to be married to the one and Only Josie Pye. It haunted you and made you sick, you and billy have had feelings for each other in the past but that soon ended after he told you that his father didn't want you no longer speaking to him

Since then you had received a disease called the hanahaki disease. A disease that made you caugh yo flower petals mixed with blood. Surely it wasn't common in Avonlea or Prince Edward Island. But the only people that knew were, Diana, ruby, Anne, and billy sisters Jane and Prissy.

Jane didn't want billy to marry Josie in fact, she wanted you to marry him but she had to accept the fact that Josie was going to be her sister in law whether she liked it or not.

You and Jane were hanging out at her house as Jane has invited you over for a tea party.

"You need to tell billy how you feel before it's
To late," said Jane as she heard you coughing again as flower petals came out of your mouth

"I know but I can't, I'm not allowed to talk to him remember? Your parents rules,"

"I know but I think it's utterly ridiculous that billy is getting married to Josie, I rather you be my sister in law then her, not that I don't like her, she a good friend but she's ruining your happiness and health,"

"Jane, I'm fine now if you'll excuse me I have to get home," you said as you got up, you said your goodbyes to Jane you walked downstairs as you did you saw Billy and Josie in the living room, you rushed past the pair as you tried to contain yourself from coughing again

As you got home you went to your room ignoring your mothers calls. You sat on your bed figuring out how to tell billy about this strange and rare disease that you had

It was the day of the county fair and you were dressed in your finest dress that your mother has hand made. It was the color of the finest blue with puffed sleeves. Your mother thought this was the perfect opportunity for you to find a suitor, as you arrived you tried your best to avoid the appearance of billy and Josie, but that backfired when Jane and prissy approached you.

"Hey y/n!" Said Jane as she gave you a hug "you look goregous, but why are you dressed up?" Asked Jane as she looked you up and down

"My mother wants me to find a suitor to see if it would get rid of this disease that I have," you said as You frowned as it wasn't what you wanted

"I'm sorry, but maybe it'll make you happy," said prissy "now it was great bumping into you but we must be headed back, are you coming for the barn dance?" Asked prissy

"Do I have a choice," you asked as pointed to yourself

A few months has passed and Josie and billy were to be married in a few days. Of course you were planned to be accompanied by a boy and your fiancé named John as you rather not be but your mother made you as she wanted you and John to announce your two's engagement

"Mother I don't want to marry John!" You said as you were fighting with your mother

"I don't care what you want you are to do what me and your father say is that clear?"

You looked down as you folded your hands

"Yes mother," you said as you turned around but as your turned around you felt a weird lump in your throat as you fainted out of nowhere

"Y/N!" Shouted your mother as she panicked "LANCE!" Hollered your mother to your father as she held you in her arms passed out

Your father immediately noticed and dropped everything as he came sprinting to your mother

A few day's has passed and you were feeling better but still feeling under the weather. Anne and the girls except for Josie has visited you as they showered you with hugs and gifts

You were minding your own business when all the sudden you saw a familiar figure in front of you.

It was Billy Andrews

As you looked up you were at lost of words, he moved forward

"Why didn't you tell me?" Asked billy as he looked down, you looked down and fiddled with your hands

"I didn't know how.." you said

"Yea but I would've cut off the engagement with Josie, I didn't mean to put you and your health in danger," said billy as he couldn't look at you, he couldn't believe that you were sick because of him

"Billy,"

"You aren't going to die are you?" Asked billy as he had to fight the urge to cry as he has never cried in his life

"I'm not dying unless you break this disease," you said as you smiled

After you said that billy sat beside you

"If it makes you feel better.... I cut the engagement with Josie, turns out she was in love with someone else,"

"What about you?" You asked as you looked at him "why did you cut it off?"

"Because I liked someone else who turns out to be sick because of me," said billy as he held your hand

As he did that he grabbed your cheek and kissed you, this was the moment you were waiting for all your life, until suddenly you felt better

(I don't know how this work because I don't watch anime but I saw some stories and one shots on this so just go with it😂 )

"Billy... I think you just broke my disease,"

(Again this is weird to write but go with it 😂😂)

"Well I glad your better because I need to ask you something... will you be my girlfriend?"

You smiled and kissed his cheek

"I would love to be your girlfriend," you said as you smiled

Let's just say that a few months later you two were engaged and then married and along the way you two had a family together
