Story description
The reader and charlie are dating and the reader noticed charlie taken a liking in Anne
Warnings: none except for some tiny bit of fluff at the end

You and charlie have been dating for a few months and you thought everything was going smooth until you saw a writing about Anne on the take notice board, and that wasn't the end of it, you saw that it was written in Charlie's handwriting
"Y/n are you ok? I mean Charlie just wrote bout Anne on the take notice board," said your best friend Jane as she noticed you have become easy, billy snickered behind you
"If I were your boyfriend y/n I would definitely write about you," winked billy before walking inside the building
"Yeah but isn't he set up to marry Josie though?"
"Yeah but I don't he's happy about it," said Jane "but anyway who are you dancing with the for dance practice?"
"I was hoping to dance with Charlie but looks like he wants to dance with Anne," you said as you walked away from the school house
"Where are you going?!"
"Home!"
Jane sighed as she crossed her arms before walking inside the building

"Honey why are you home early? I thought Mrs Lynde was keeping all of you until you got the dancing right,"
"I left mother," you said as you hung up your coat before setting your unfinished lunch basket down
"Alright well I guess I'll start the tea," sighed your mother
"Actually... I think I'm going to camp in my room, is that ok?"
"Sure, just come down when you need something,"

You ran up the stairs before your mother scolded at you
"Y/n we do not run up the stairs!"

It was after school and dance practice was over, as usual charlie was waiting for you to meet him at the door, as he was looking around Josie and Jane walked up to him
"Oh you didn't hear? After your little stunt on the take notice board y/' n ran home," remarked Josie
"I'm confused," said Charlie
"You wrote about Anne when you clearly should be writing about y/n,"
"Am I not allowed to write about Anne?" Asked Charlie
"No because the person your destined to marry is y/n but you screwed that up so your lucky if she will give you a chance," said Josie as she walked out the door
"Don't listen to her, I'll try to smooth things out with Y/n if you want,"
"No I think I need to do it,"
After that Charlie ran into the direction of your house

Meanwhile you were sitting in your room as you held a flower in your hand, you sat by your open window so you could throw the petals out

"He loves me not..." you sighed at last petal as you looked at it before throwing out the window
"WHY CANT I JUST BE HAPPY?!" You shouted out your window
"Well... if I knew you were going to be throwing a fit I would be coming,"
"What do you want Sloane?" You asked "why don't you go back to Anne, you two will make the PERFECT PAIRING!"
"Y/n just hear me out," said Charlie
"And give me a reason why I should hear you out?" You asked as you crossed your arms
"Y/n, I felt bad for Anne, I wanted to make her day better..."
"Yeah but you could've just talk to her... I mean was a notice on the board was necessary?"
"Y/n I love he will always love you, when will you get that in your head?" Asked Charlie
"Prove it,"
"If you'll come down here I'll prove it to you,"
You chuckled
"My mother would never approve,"
"Who cares,"
You smiled before looking back to see if you could see your mother, when you didn't see your mother you climbed out the window since you lived in a small but not to small of a house you jumped down with a huff
When you got down on the ground you smiled at Charlie before giving him a hug, when you did he kissed you, that was soon interrupted by your mother
"Y/n what did I say about no kissing boys?"
"Mother it's just Charlie,"
"Oh whatever you deserve it after the day you had," said your mother "you staying for dinner? I'm Tommy really your mother will understand,"
"No I actually have a ton of homework to do so I'll pass..." said Charlie as he looked at your mother, he looked at you as he winked
"See you tomorrow y/n,"
You blushed before smiling when he was out of sight, you hopped back into your house as you closed the door
"And that's what I call true love," said your mother
