"How's everyone doing tonight?!" Beca yelled threw the microphone earning loud screams from fans.
Fast forward a few years and Beca is now 29. Her birthday is in a few weeks. She was signed to Sony recording the day of her graduation. She still hears the voices sure. They're a lot quieter most days but others they're screaming. She has still yet to have her first kiss much to Stacie's dismay. She still offers to kiss her almost everyday. Turns out jesses dad was right. He's gay. Well I guess most of the people in their group are. Aubrey Posen is now Aubrey Conrad. Yup they got married. Then there's also the Applebaum's which is no surprise. Beca has made sure that each tour she has the entire group with her. They still never leave her alone. She insists she's fine and that she hasn't had a single suicidal thought since high school. But they never believe her.
"I'm glad to hear. As you all know I've been working on project for quite some time now." Beca said dripping with confidence. "Well I have a few friends here to help me introduce my project."
Beca gestured to the side of the stage and soon enough her seven friends made their way on stage. The crowd erupted already knowing who they were.
"Hey babes." Stacie said waving to the crowd.
"Don't call them that." Aubrey said hitting her arm. "It sounds like you're flirting."
"Sorry." Stacie said sheepishly rubbing the back of her neck.
"Will you two stop bickering like the married couple you are." Jesse said with a teasing smirk. "This is important."
"Don't tease them Jess. It only makes them more mad." Chicago said placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. If you couldn't guess that's his boyfriend.
"Okay let's just introduce it." Emily said.
"If we don't say it now we never will." Benji said shaking his head. "Her project is called love is louder."
"Thank you Benji." Beca said smiling at the shy boy.
"Love is louder is a non profit campaign to show that love is louder than anything." Jesse said smiling.
"Now before you go and think that we all had something to do with the idea we don't." Stacie said shaking her head. "This was all Becas idea that she formed from her own story."
"Which she will now share." Aubrey said giving a pointed look at Beca. "Or if she doesn't I will."
"Ah thanks Aubrey." Beca said nervously chuckling. "Well when I was about seven my dad walked out on me and my mother. She was frustrated and she took it out on me. It happened almost daily. This continued until my senior of high school. Luckily I had a friend with a police dad."
"That's me." Jesse said cutting in. "I have the police dad."
Beca just rolled her eyes before she continued. "Um well my mom hitting me lead to suicidal thoughts. I only tried twice. But my mom got arrested so you think it would all be over right? Wrong. That night I started hearing voices."
"Which she failed to tell us about." Stacie said pitching in.
"No I told you." Beca countered. "After they told me to do something I didn't want to and I well... freaked out."
"Anyway because Beca had to go through most of this alone she didn't want that for other people." Emily said smiling softly. "So love is louder is a place to go when you don't have anyone else. There are people who are or have gone through similar things that you can talk and bond with. That way you feel less alone."
"Exactly." Beca said with a bright smile. "So this is me officially launching my love is louder campaign. I hope it helps a lot of people. Now back to regular programming."
Beca sang a few songs deforestation ending the show. She left the stage and was handed a bottle of water and a towel. It was just like clockwork. She sat in a chair near her friends.
"That was a great show Beca." Chicago said being quick to compliment.
"Thank you." Beca said after taking a long swing of water. "Now will you finally allow me to have one night to myself?"
"No." Stacie said as soon as the words left her mouth.
"Stacie she's been getting better. I don't think one night will hurt." Aubrey said calmly.
"I guess." She grumbled before taking a deep breath. "You can have one night alone. One."
"Thank you." I say giving her a brief hug.
"Miss Mitchell there is someone claiming to be your parent." One of the security guards said. "Should I allow them in?"
Beca looked around the room to see several nods from her friends before she spoke. "Uh sure. Send them back."
"Hello dear." Her mother said with a sickly sweet tone. "It's been awhile."
"What are you doing here?" Beca said instinctively becoming defensive. "You're supposed to be in prison."
Once the guards heard those words they all instantly payed more attention to the pair. The head of security took one step closer to her mother.
"They let me out early for good behavior." She said smirking. "I've missed you."
"No you haven't." I spat out bitterly. "Now if you don't mind I would like you to leave."
"I just want to talk. Make things right." Her mother said taking a step forward causing her to take one back.
"I don't want to talk." Beca said hiding behind Stacie. "Security please get her out of here. I don't feel comfortable."
"Yes ma'am." A guard said instantly grabbing Sheila and dragging her out.
"You will regret this Rebeca Mitchell!" Her mother yelled.
"Yeah no. You don't get a night to yourself after that." Stacie said after a few moments of silence.
"Please Stace. I haven't actually had a night alone since high school. She didn't do anything I'm fine. Just... please." Beca shamelessly begged. "Just one night."
"Yes Beca. You can have one night." Jesse jumped in. "But if you need anything you will call us."
Beca arrived home alone. For the first time in years. It honestly felt great. She lounged on the couch until she heard a loud voice.
"I said you would regret it. I need to make up for all the years I missed." She heard what she thought was a voice in her head intimidating her mother.
"Shut up. You have no effect on me anymore." She said distractingly as she scrolled through her phone.
"Is that so?"
She suddenly felt a belt hit her legs. Her head show up and there she was. Same emotionless eyes. Same belt. Same feeling. She was hit once more this time in the stomach. She leaned forward in pain. That was a huge mistake. She then got hit across the back. Her mother didn't stop even through her protests. All of the bad memories came flooding back. Like the first time she got hit. Her first birthday beating. All of the panic attack's. She got the missing memories from all of the times she's blacked out. All she could do was struggle. Almost twenty minutes later she finally stopped.
"Do I still have an effect on you?" Her mother asked with an evil smirk.
Beca was only able to whimper in response. She wasn't used to the pain anymore. Her mother eventually left her laying on the floor. She went to stand up only to scream out in pain.
"I still don't think we should leave her alone." Stacie said bouncing her leg.
"Calm down. She'll be fine." Aubrey said joining her on the couch of their apartment.
"How can you be so sure?" Stacie asked furrowing her eyebrows.
Their conversation was interrupted when a knock sounded from the door. Stacie reluctantly got up and opened the door. She was met with red hair, blue eyes, and a bright smile.
"Hi." The girl said waving. "I just moved in across the hall. I was backing a cake for my brothers birthday and it seems I've run out of sugar. Do you happen to have any I could barrow?"
"Uh yeah, I think so." Stacie said studying the girl. "How much do you need?"
"Just a cup." She said. Her smile never wavering.
"Alright. Babe can you get a cup of sugar please?" Stacie yelled eyes never leaving the redhead.
"Yeah." She heard Aubrey he'll back before joining Stacie at the door handing her the sugar. "Here ya go."
"Thanks." Stacie said as she took the ingredient. "Here's your sugar."
"Thank you." She said pausing before Aubrey left. Suddenly her smile was wiped from her face. "Okay here's the thing, Beca is in trouble. Her mother broke into her apartment and hit her. She broke about three ribs and can't get up. I advise you to go over there as fast as you can with Aubrey. Stacie currently you are her only hope."
"I'm sorry but who the hell are you and how do you know my name?" Stacie asked with a pointed look. "And why should I trust you?"
"Because Beca trusts me. That's why I could calm her down when the voices told her to hurt you." She answered completely ignoring the first question. "Now I have to go before he finds out I told you this. I'm stepping outside of bounds telling you this but Beca needs help. So go hurry."
The girl quickly ran before taking the sugar. Stacie soon snapped out of her gaze before she quickly grabbed her keys and heading to get Aubrey.
"Let's go we're going to check in Beca." Stacie said taking Aubrey's hand and dragging her out of the apartment.
"No Stacie. We promised her one night alone." Aubrey tried to protest.
"Something is telling me to make sure she's okay." Stacie said with tears burning her eyes. "So please. Just to check on her."
Aubrey nodded before Stacie continued to run to the car. She sped over to Becas building before bursting threw the door. There she was. Beca was laying on the floor with a face o pain. Aubrey gasped as Stacie carefully helped Beca up carful not to hurt her ribs.
"Aubrey help me get her to the car." Stacie said as she helped Beca slowly walk.
"Shit." Beca hissed out of pain. "This shit hurts like a bitch."
Soon they were sitting in the hospital with Beca in a bed and her friends surrounding her.
"She's never broken any bones before." Beca said in disbelief. "I can't believe she broke three ribs."
"She was right." Stacie said quietly under her breath.
"What did you say?" Jesse asked from beside her.
"Nothing. It's not important." Stacie quickly dismisses it.
"No you said something. I want to know what it is." Jesse said with a pointed look.
"Well... you know the redhead from high school?" Stacie started awkwardly.
"Like wind beneath my wings redhead?" Beca asked with a confused expression.
"Yes. That redhead." Stacie said nodding. "I think that was who was at my door before we went to Becas. She said some weird shit about how your mother broke in and broke three ribs. She knew exactly what happened. She also knew both mine and Aubrey's names."
"Now do you see what I mean when I say she says weird things that make no sense?" Beca asked slowly sitting up. "Did she refer to someone as he?"
"Yeah. It was weird. She said something along the lines of 'he can't know I did this or else I'll be in trouble'." Stacie said nodding her head.
"That has got to mean something." Jesse said going into thought. "Has anyone else talked to her besides Beca and Stacie?"
"No as far as I know we are the only two." Beca said. "What the hell is going on?"
"Thank god she's okay." The redhead said wearing a nurses uniform. "That one was close."
"You over stepped your bounds. You are to only deal with mental things. Not physical." A booming voice sounded causing her blood to grow cold.
