I woke up to a muscular arm wrapped around my waist.

At first, I stiffened as my heart beat picked up before I realized that the arm belongs to no other than Rogue.

He really stayed, did he?

Smiling softly, I gently lifted his arm off of me.

I stood up and noticed that everything was cleaned up.

There's absolutely no sign that someone just had an episode in this very room last night.

Rogue's still asleep so I decided to make waffles for breakfast.

After I was done, I stacked them up neatly on two plates.

And while preparing coffee, I zoned out, forgetting I was holding the heater.

"Midnight!"

I jumped startled, spilling hot water all over my hand and on the counter.

Ouch, that really stings!

I hissed in pain.

Rogue immediately turned on the tap from the sink.

"You could've been more careful!" He scolded me as he took my hand and held it under the running water.

"Sorry..." I bit my lip.

His eyes dropped down and I saw how his Adam's apple moved.

Was he thinking of kissing me or something?

Feeling flushed, I coughed.

That brought back his attention and he looked away, his jaw clenching.

To break off the sudden tension in the air, I removed my hand from his and grabbed a towel to wipe off the counter.

"Let's go eat breakfast before it gets cold."

"Yeah, let's go do that." He nodded.

We ate breakfast in silence.

But, it wasn't awkward or any of that sort. In fact, it was comfortable for the both of us.

Rogue and I... Just enjoying each other's presence.

After a while, I couldn't help but to question him, "Why are you not asking why I was like that yesterday?"

If others were in his position right now, I'm sure that would be the first thing they'll ask.

People only want to satisfy their curiosity.

They don't really care, so what he did was surprising.

"I'm only waiting for you to tell me about it yourself." Rogue sipped on his coffee.

He stared straight into my eyes.

"I don't want you to feel like you're forcing yourself to open up just because I asked. I don't want you to feel uncomfortable."

I blinked, not expecting that.

"Thank you, Rogue..."
