'Okay! Now I can go battle someone! Now we can actually start with the interesting shit!' I think as I headed to the arena
"Excuse me, (y/n). Can I talk to you?" Todoroki said
".... why?" I mutter to myself tearing up
Because no one reads fanfics for the fight scenes, you know. Heck, we're probably gonna skip them
"Shut up, I know! I don't want to be reminded of that" I pout and look back at Todoroki who looked like he was just waiting for me to finish "... what's with the look? You look like you saw a completely normal thing"
"We got used to the whole... you...kinda" he sighs "but that's not what I wanted to talk about..."

"You see, I've been wondering, how is it that you have so many quirks?" I instantly have a serious face as I heard his question
"Heh...well, when I was a kid my parents uh got murdered and I was taken to a place where I was tortured and experimented on. They wanted to see how many quirks you could fit In one person. I managed to escape but at a cost... I had to give up my right arm" todoroki looked at me with a lifted eyebrow
"and after that, I was left with nothing. No family, friends, i had to do you know what with my left hand, do you know how uncomfortable that is?" Now he was looking at me with an angry face
"I'm being serious, you could just say that you don't want to tell me and that's it. You don't have to make a joke out of everything" he mumbled the last part but I managed to hear, why did that... sting? I'm probably sick or something
I sigh "well, if I told you the truth you wouldn't understand, you'd still think that I'm making a joke out of it. And what's so bad about not taking anything seriously?"
"You really are a special case, aren't you?" He sighs "anyways, you have a fight now, don't you? Good luck, I guess" he said before walking away
I sigh again "There goes another one... ugh, I feel...weird, it feels like I'm getting chocked and not in the good way"
Your jokes are getting old, you heard Todoroki, you have a fight, weren't you the one complaining that you wanted to get on with it already?
I was taken back by what they said "and what's up with you? You sound way bitchier than usual"

"Whatever, if you're going to finally shut up, you might as well stay quiet while I fight" I said before heading out to the arena

I see that my opponent is Shinso, his quirk doesn't work on me and it doesn't seem like he has any fighting skills that could match mine, this is going to be way too easy "isn't that right you-..." I quickly cut myself off "...oh yeah, I forgot..." I shake my head and just try to think of the quickest way to beat Shinso
"Who were you trying to talk to?"

Shinso pov

he actually shut up for once and now that I needed him to talk. I hear him trying to talk to someone but quickly cut himself off
"Who were you trying to talk to?" I asked
He scoffed "no one" damn it, my quirk is still not working, maybe if I manage to provoke him...
"You know, ever since I met you I wondered why the hell you always talked with someone that's not there. I thought it was because no one could tolerate you and you felt lonely now you're telling me not even your voices in your head want to talk to you anymore"

I bring out my whip and lash it at him "i know what you're trying to do but do you really think that your quirk is gonna-" I suddenly freeze... why can't I move?
