Interview 26 - Sushi and Sea Lions by RCorsini

I am proud to interview RCorsini who is the winner of The Congenial Awards for her book - "Sushi and Sea Lions".

Let's get right into it!

1. {Nabeela} What inspired you to write your book?

I was inspired to write this book because I was actually heartbroken. Don't worry I'm good now, but I took all of those emotions that I was feeling and poured them out into my characters. It felt amazing. I had been struggling to move forward and this completely helped. It's also the first book I ever finished. 

2. {Nabeela} When did you join Wattpad?

I joined Wattpad in February of this year! 

3. {Nabeela} Isn't that crazy? Wow...moving on, how have you grown since you first started writing?

I have grown so much since I started writing. I've been writing for a long time behind the scenes, since a creative writing class in high school. I only stopped after college when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I think I had more life experience which really influenced my writing. I have no clue if the prose got any better, but the content definitely did. I was more informed about the world and how to portray different types of people. 

4. {Nabeela} How does it feel to have won the contest?

Winning the contest feels amazing! I honestly never expected this kind of reception on this platform. I joined on a whim after having finished this book. I realized I wanted to share it. I swear I never thought I would win 1st place in this award let alone any of the awards I submitted it to.
