I stared at the figure that stood before me. It resembled a man who wore a long leather jacket. I let out a gasp as I still felt Miles' hands grasping my arms.
"M-Miles," I stuttered as I attempted to get out of the boys tight grasp.
"He knows you're scared," Miles spoke as I closed my eyes. "Open your eyes, Elizabeth,"
I squeezed my eyes shut tighter as I felt Miles' grasp on me tighten. I could feel a cold breeze coat my face.
"My mom was Kate's sister, she hated her so much-"
"Elizabeth, stop just open your eyes," Miles spoke once again sounding irritated. The cold breeze had filled the room, and the fear in Miles' voice was beginning to sound almost, real.
"I swear, Kate was the reason why my mom killed herself and-" I got cut off mid sentence again.
"Elizabeth!" He yelled down my ear. I turned, elbowing him in the stomach before running out of the room.
I fell onto the floor at the foot of my bed, holding myself up on my elbows.
I stared at Miles who threw himself out of the bathroom, slamming the door shit behind himself. He stood there, staring at the now closed door, breathless.
"Was that Quint?" I asked the boy who genuinely looked scared out of his mind.
He looked over at me, his expression changing as soon as he layed his eyes on mine.
He stormed over to me, pushing me down to the floor. He placed his body on top of mine, pinning both my hands down above my head with his left hand.
"I thought you got along with him?" I asked, having a serious tone in my voice.
He frowned at me.
"How much do you think you know?" Miles asked as he hovered over myself.
I laughed at his response.
"Who's in control now?" I mocked the boy.
"Me, looks who's pinning you to the floor," He smirked, furrowing his brow slightly.
"Just because you're holding me down to the ground doesn't mean youre in control, Miles,"
He laughed in response, "Then what does it mean?"
I told him to shut up and began fighting his grip on me, which only pissed him off even more.
"You're so fucking immature, Miles!" I yelled at the boy as I continued to fight him.
"Oh grow up, Elizabeth!" He yelled back.
"You're the one being a complete asshole, Miles!"
"What the hell are you doing?" We both immediately stopped at the voice which had entered the room, our eyes darting to the door simultaneously.
"M-mrs Grose, I-I can explain," Miles stuttered as he stood up, releasing me from his grip and allowing me to stand beside him.
I had to hold in laughter at the sight of his face as he eyed the older woman ahead of us. He was like a naughty child getting caught red handed.
"What's going on?" Kate came barging into the room, making eye contact with me.
"Miles thought it would be funny to prank me," I finally spoke up, turning to the teenager beside me. I saw his eyes light up with anger as he lunged himself as me.
He gripped my throat as I swung a punch at his lip, popping it on contact.
"Stop it, the pair of you!" Mrs Grose yelled as Kate grabbed me, the boy ahead of me breaking the contact with my neck. Kate held me as she tried to hug me, but only resulted in me pushing her away.
I huffed, barging past Mrs Grose and making my way out of the house.

Okay, so slightly smaller chapter, but this is only a build up chapter and was pretty funny to write with the whole tension thing between the characters... Anyways, enjoy!
