A/N Hello! This is my first ATLA fan fic and I will be trying to stay as close to canon as possible but obviously some things have to change to fit in a new character and to add drama to a story we already know. The pic above is how I imagine Zialoya to look. And her name is pronounced Z-eye-loy-ah or just Z-eye-ah for Zia.

Zia looked up at the beating sun and lack of customers at her stand and sighed. She only had a few customers come today, and none purchased anything.

She began to pack up her items. When will this get interesting? She wondered to herself.

She had left her small village in the Earth Kingdom to seek out adventure, even though she was only 16. Zia had an unquenchable thirst for excitement and thrill.

She sighed again, running her hand through her wavy ash-gray hair. She had styled it in a traditional half up bun, the rest only reached just above her shoulders. She was just about to finish closing up her stand before she heard a nearby voice.

"I've checked all the shops on this pier, not a single white lotus tile in the entire marketplace!" Zia heard a man say. He was a very round and plump old man dressed in fire nation solider attire.

"It's good to know this trip was a complete waste of time for everyone!" An angry teen boy yells. He stood next to the other man and was also dressed in fire nation attire, only he had a scar covering his left eye.

"White lotus tile?" Zia asks loud enough to get both their attention. She was in her small hand-built booth where she sold handmade goods at an attempt to make a living.

"I think I may just have what you're looking for!" She said excitedly as the two fire nation soldiers walked over to her booth.

"Please, have a cup of jasmine tea while I gather my Pai Sho tiles." She said, pouring two cups of tea, although the younger man looked completely disinterested.

"Jasmine tea? I think I found my favorite shop!" The older soldier laughed, happily taking his cup. He took a sip and smiled even wider, "Oh, Zuko, you should really try it! This tea is almost as good as when I make it!"

The teen, presumably named Zuko, rolled his eyes. "Uncle, I don't want tea, I want to get back to my mission!" He said aggressively.

Jeez, why is this kid so angry? Zia thought to herself.

"Zialoya's Hand-Made Goods." The old man read her store's sign. "Zialoya, is that your name?" He asked kindly.

Zia was crouched below the counter looking for where she had packed the Pai Sho tiles.

"Umm, yeah! But you can just call me Zia." She giggled, "It sounds like I'm some respectable noble when people use my full name for some reason."

"Well, you don't have to be a noble to be deserving of respect." The man said, "You have a beautiful name, Zia."

Zia stopped what she was doing to smile at the kind old man, "Thank you.." She paused not knowing his name.

"Iroh, General Iroh of the fire nation. Pleased to meet you." He said proudly.

"Well, thank you, General Iroh of the fire nation. You're very kind." Zia thanked before going back to look for the box.

"Ah! Here we are!" Zia said excitedly, setting a wooden box full of Pai Sho tiles on the counter in front of the fire nation soldiers.

The older man happily hummed as he began to search through the tiles. "These are very beautiful, did you paint them yourself?" He asked.

"Yes I did! Thank you." Zia smiled back. "You know, it's been a really long time since anyone has come here looking for Pai Sho tiles. I was a afraid the game was becoming unpopular."
