the month
goes by too fast
and his break is up
he tenderly
kisses her goodbye
and promises a first date
he doesn't know if he can keep
she drives him to the airport
with sad eyes
freezing hands
and a warm heart
because he looks upset
to leave her which sounds
cruel but all she wanted to
know was that he cared
they kiss at stoplights and kiss
when the traffic goes still
she walks him into the airport
just to be met with screaming girls
they get to security and there are girls
behind ropes on either side of them
she doesn't care though and
hugs him tight and doesn't let go
"goodbye kiss?" she asks hopefully
he looks wistfully at the crowd surrounding
them and he replies
"i can't"
