soon and her mom says
something about how
no one ever stays anymore
it breaks her heart but she
climbs on the bus
anyways
michael feels bad and asks
if she's sure and she tells him
that her mom will just forget about
what happened when she wakes up
tomorrow
surrounded by empty bottles
and with an empty house and a
raging hangover
michael lets her cry on his bony
shoulder and the other boys can
tell that they need each other
more than anything so they don't
complain when they fight
or when they kiss all the time
or when she's being bitchy
they find out all these things about
her and they grow to like her
she becomes an addition to their
little group as they move to the next

she thinks about home
a lot but she thinks he is more
home than her house
ever was
and she'd rather be in a
cramped bunk in his arms
than in a bed at her house
