SAD

Y/d/n (your daughter name) woke up crying and screaming 'daddy' about an hour ago. I tried to calm her down, but nothing worked. So i thought about it for a while, dressed her in a onesie, put on jacket and left the house with y/d/n in my hands. After a few miles of walking we finally reached the destination.

It was night time, the weather was cold. I took my daughter hand with one hand as i picked some flowers that were growing near the forest with the other.
"When do we get here?"
"A few more minutes baby." I said picking her up once again. She closed her eyes and leaned her head on my shoulder.

"There it is baby girl." I whispered in her ear as i stopped. I put her on the ground and handed her the flowers.
"Thank you mommy." She mumbled. She put them near his name on the gravestone and sat on the ground.
"Is daddy in heaven now?"
"Yes princess." I answered using the nickname Shawn used to call her.
"Why did he had to leave?" She asked once again. Her voice sounded so broken.
"I don't know baby. Best people always die first. I guess God needed another angel." I said.
"Nobody knows why some people leave so soon. One day we see them, talk to them, hug them and the other..... They're gone. Only memories are left. We remember talking to them. Seeing them. Hugging them. Only memories. But no matter what happens we always have to stay strong for them. We have to stay strong for daddy. From up there, from the heaven, with all of the other angels, he don't want to see us crying. He wants to see us strong and happy. And even though he can't be with us physically, he's always gonna be in our hearts. Okay?"
"Okay, mommy." Both of us broke down in tears, sitting on cold, hard ground, in the middle of the night, under the sky full of stars. And Shawn is one of the stars now.
