BUTTERFLY'S REPOSE, ZABAWA

you don't have to speak
don't need to talk to me
baby, I already know
the shadows in your head
they've got you down again

OCTOBER 14, 1976

ARA WAS LAYING AWAKE ALL night staring out at the grounds of the castle, admiring the beauty of the dark. These nights were a way for her to escape the stress she found herself in, in the last few days. As the nightsky paled and faded into a warm orange, Ara decided to leave her comfortable, warm bed and quietly dress to get breakfast.

The few rays of sun that made their way through the big windows in the great hall lighted the four long tables just enough. The Hufflepuff sat down at her house table and reached for her notes to read through for her first class of the day. Subconsciously she looked around, only to find a few of her teachers and a small group of Ravenclaws, when she stopped on a boy at the table of the snakes. his eyes not leaving the croissant in front of him. Even from afar you could see purple and blue bags under his eyes. He was tired, and so lonely.

Her notes crumbled in her bag as Ara quickly pushed them back while slowly walking over to him, trying not to draw too much attention to herself.

The black curls bounced, Regulus's head whipped to his right to see his sister sitting down next to him, her hand reaching for the pumpkin juice.

"Pumpkin juice for breakfast ? And I had the audacity to think you were normal."

"Lies in the family, Reg. Watch out or you'll be next."

Regulus mumbled an "Already too late" under his breath, thinking Ara wouldn't catch that.

Biting into his croissant, he didn't notice the sad smile she gave him.

"I uhm.. I actually wanted to talk to you about something important."

He wiped his hands on his jeans to grab the letter she held out for him.

"What's that ?"

"It's from father and mother. They want me to come home over christmas break...to uhm introduce me to someone. Do you know to who ?"
