There was no way. Third must have heard it wrong. There was absolutely no way that Danny was here in this very moment. Had Third some how time-traveled back to high school? Third wanted to keep his head down, maybe if he kept his eyes closed, everything would somehow disappear...Maybe this was all a very bad dream. Third wasn't that lucky though. Third slowly lifted his head, he had to check. Maybe his ears were deceiving him, but there would be no denying it was really Danny if he saw his face. Third made eye contact with Danny's cold eyes and he knew there was no mistake. Danny had somehow found his way back into Third's life. Third could feel his heart beating hard against his chest as Danny walked by his desk, "Oh my god...Third? Is that you?" Danny asked with shock in his voice, but Third knew there was no way it was a coincidence. Third's throat began to tighten as he found it harder to breathe. Third had imagined way too many times what it would be like if he ever came across Danny again. He had worked hard to make himself strong, to try and make himself untouchable and make up for his mistakes. There was no way he could have prepared for this though.
"You know him?" Khai asked curiously as he looked between the two of them.
"Must be in shock" Danny said as he observed Third, "We're old friends. Aren't we, Third?" Danny smiled.
Third's palms felt clammy, "I-I'm going to go to-" Third stood up, he felt like he would throw up at any second...or pass out. Guess that works too.
Khai stood up quickly to go by Third's side, "Third...Third" Khai tapped the side of his face lightly before picking him up when he got no response. "Mrs. Saetang, I'm taking Third to the health center." Khai ran out of the class before he could even get a response. Something about seeing Third collapse right in front of his eyes was indescribably terrifying. It was so sudden, Khai had no idea why Third passed out in that very moment. Was he sick? Was he over exhausted? Was it because they went out last night? Did Khai finally annoy him so much that he passed out? All of these thoughts bombarded Khai's mind, and as he looked at the boys soft features, it felt as if his heart was being pulled tightly. It was as if Third had some how became in control of the mechanics of Khai's heart. He might as well be, because every time Khai would tease Third, his own heart would beat faster, every time he so much looked at Third, he could feel his heart squeeze, and every time Third was hurt, it felt as if his heart stopped for a moment. Third was going to put him into cardiac arrest at some point.
Third sat up slowly, squinting at the harsh light as he slowly came back to his senses. It took a while for Third to process the situation he was in, as he came to the realization he was in what appeared to be a bed in the infirmary. "You up?" Khai asked softly.
"Well my eyes are open so..." Third mumbled as he shrugged his shoulders.
"You never fail to give me a sassy come-back do you?" Khai laughed softly, "Are you feeling okay?"
"Yeah...what happened?" Third rubbed at his eyes, Khai could feel his heart clench again. Third really was out to give him heart problems.
"You passed out...Everyone was really shocked."
"Oh...right" Third nodded slowly, "So it wasn't a dream."
"Do you know why you passed out? It happened so quickly...That new kid was talking to you and all of a sudden...Wait, how do you know him anyways?" Khai asked as the scene flashed into his mind again, "You looked really surprised...Is that why you passed out?"
"So many questions" Third sighed softly, "You're going to give me a headache."
"Sorry, I shouldn't be bombarding you with questions...You should relax a while longer."
