It was her first gala after joining the new press media. She wanted politics but she got the butthurt write-ups of celebrities , fashion shows and others. While struggling to get into mainstream media ,just because she was a woman she couldn't get into that arena and for a starving stomach she had to satisfy herself with entertainment section.
She didn't have enough party clothes, so she went to thrift store to buy some vintage clothes .
Wearing her faded blue jeans and red high neck top she entered the store.
Miya: sir, do you have some party clothes ?
Shop owner: of course dear. Go to the rack behind , you would find it all
She gradually walked behind and found all the sequined clothes. It was a charity gala and she didn't want to look bad. Spotting a beautiful short sequined one, she chose it and bought from the owner.
Moving her path to her small cramped up space in California, rent was so high she struggled to find a small space which encompassed all her things and belongings.
Anyways, she had to reach the gala on time.
