Sonic's POV

I was getting ready to go and meet my girlfriend, Skylar. We've been dating for about a year and a half now and we're really glad about it. I've thought about taking it to the next level and make us an official thing for the rest of our lives and I think I'm gonna finally do it.

Me and Skylar decided to meet in the park in about 30 minutes so I have to be quick if I'm gonna do this and be on time. I got my shoes on, styled my quills so I look a little more proper, and dashed out the door.

You had me hooked again from the minute you sat down
The way you bite your lip got my head spinnin' around
After a drink or two I was putty in your hands

I walked inside of a jewelry store and looked around the place. It was really big got a jewelry store to be honest though.

"Hello sir. What are you looking for today?" The store clerk asked me and I walked up to him.

"I'm looking for an engagement ring that's really special for my amazing girl."

He smiled a bit. "I know just what you should get then." He walked over to a big jewelry case as I followed him. He pulled out a small black box and opened it showing a medium sized diamond ring with a golden band.

My eyes widened and I smiled again. "I love it! It's perfect for her!"

He smiled. "I'm glad I found the perfect one for your girl!"

"How much is it?"

"It's $750."

"Wow that's pretty cheap!" I paid him and took the box.

Why does it feel so good but hurt so bad, oh oh oh?
My mind keeps saying,
"Run as fast as you can."
I say, "I'm done," but then you pull me back, oh oh oh...
I swear you're giving me a heart attack

"I'm happy to help you out!"

I smiled once again and walked to the door. "Well bye now!"

"Bye and good luck!"

"Thanks I will!" I walked out of the store and headed for the park quickly. I put the box in my pocket and started to get a little anxious.

What if I mess it up and she laughs at me and hates me? What if she's not ready for it and leaves me? I can't let her leave me like that and I won't allow it to happen.

I found a park bench and sat down on it as I waited for Skylar to get here. It was in the middle of the park with a pond in front of it and some ducks swimming in it.

"Please say yes to it..." I whispered.

"Say what now?"
