Shadows was at his house when he got a call from G.U.N..

"Hello?

"Agent Shadow. I have something I need to tell you so come down here right away."

"Got it. Shadow out," he hung up and sighed. "Just when I have a break I'm needed again." He quickly made his way to H.Q..

~At H.Q.~

Shadow walked inside looking for the Commander. He greeted Shadow a minute later and he saluted to him. "What do you have to tell me, Sir?"

The Commander sighed and put a hand on Shadow's shoulder. "I'm sorry, Agent Shadow."

"Sorry for what?" He looked at him confused.

"You're fired."

Shadow couldn't believe it. "Why, Sir?"

"We have too many people on duty at the moment," the Commander said, which Shadow knew was a lie.

Shadow sighed lightly. "Well okay. I understand, Sir."

"Goodbye, Agent Shadow. You will not be forgotten," the Commander saluted.

Shadow saluted back and walked out the door depressed.

~30 minutes later~

Sonic was walking to Shadow's house to race him since he had nothing better to do. Shadow was inside his house sitting on the couch with his head in his hands. He heard a knock on the door and growled.

"Go away."

Sonic walked inside anyway since he never locked the door. Shadow saw him and groaned.

"Nice to see you too," Sonic said sarcastically.

"What do you want?"

"I wanted to race you!"

"I'm not in the mood, Faker."

"Why not?"

Shadow sighed and lifted his gaze to him slowly. "I just got fired..."

Sonic was surprised. "Why? How come?"

"They had too many people working which is an obvious lie."

Sonic sat next to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "I'm so sorry, Shads."

"It was my only stability..."

Sonic hugged him. "I really wish I could help you."

Shadow smiled very slightly and slowly hugged back and purred softly. Sonic looked confused and broke the hug holding his shoulders. "What was that?"

Shadow blushed faintly. "I-it's nothing."

Sonic looked at him. "Tell me, Shads."

Shadow sighed. "I just... haven't felt a hug since forever."

Sonic looked a little sad and hugged him again. "I have to change that then don't I?"

Shadow smiled and hugged him tightly. "Thanks, Faker."

Sonic broke the hug. "What can you have as a stability?"

Shadow sighed again and shook his head and Sonic frowned a little.

"We'll find it eventually."

Shadow smiled a bit more. "Thanks again."

"It's no problem."

Shadow sighed for the fourth time but louder.

"What's wrong?"

"What do you think of me?"

"Well you're cool, grouchy at times, but an amazing friend."

He smiled and hugged him again.

Sonic hugged back. "I understand you, Shads."

He hugged him more. "You really mean it?"

Sonic broke the hug and nodded. "Yeah I do."

Shadow smiled big. "I think I know what my stability is."

"What is it?"

"You."

"Really? Me?"

Shadow nodded and blushed lightly.

He smiled. "Well I'm glad."

Shadow looked at him and rubbed his arm nervously. Sonic looked at him and kissed him gently. His eyes widened and he blushed hard and hesitantly kissed back. Sonic pulled away and blushed.

"I kinda like you, Shads."

Shadow fiddled with his fingers. "I-I do too."

Sonic smiled. "Ya know I would love to be your stability."

Shadow smiled and hugged him tightly. "Thanks so much again, Sonic."

"You're welcome. I would never leave you or give up on you."

Shadow smiled once more and kissed him passionately.
