David Peterson
It had been two weeks since I met Mia's parents. Two weeks of the biggest discovery of my life. The school had to close for a couple of weeks as well because inspectors found a couple of health hazards. I went back to South Africa for four days to go to our family's small library now owned by a middle aged Indian lady who happened to recognise me immediately. She inherited it from my dad because she was his assistant. The well of life was my mom's favourite segment in the library full of inspirational books. The fox song was a silly song my dad sang for me to train my memory. It had random numbers in the middle of the song I had to remember by heart and recite when the song was over so imagine my surprise when behind the books I found a safe. The numbers were the password and inside I found a fleshdrive. I landed back here a few days ago and I still haven't had the guts to open the drive. Am afraid of what I would find.
Today However, I had no time to worry about that because Adrien and his daughter were moving in with us. Uncle Blake and Adrien were exposed by the Paparazzi and our home was the only place they could lay low in peace. We cleaned the house, burned the muffins so we had to buy others from the coffee shop. I don't know why he was so nervous, I was happy. I would finally have someone my age around the house, I may not be the sole heir of BB Con West anymore but that fine by me. The driver assigned to pick them up pulled in the drive way and I got ready in my room. I was forced to put on a taxedo. Classic black and white. I walked in to the leaving room at the same time as Adrien and greeted him happily. He engulfed me in a bear hug making me realise am quite small for a man. Then a girl entered have back facing me pulling her bags. I could tell that she was pretty, her blonde hair was cut to be just above her shoulders. She had a good figure but a tomboyish attire. I quickly rushed towards her to help
"Allow me." I offered. She suddenly stiffened then turned to face me. The glass of grape juice in my hand dropped immediately as I saw her infront of me. She looked so different now, so authentic but was still not on my good list and I wasn't in hers for sure.
"You?!" We said in union and utter disbelief. Uncle Blake had to fall for her father of all people? Why couldn't it be Elsa's father? atleast that way we would get along just fine.
"Guys, meet my nephew David, David, meet Adrien who you already know ofcourse and his daughter, Brie Doe." My eyes widened even further. This is just a dream. I knew uncle Blake was planning to propose and that meant Brie would be my sister.
"Wait, Peterson! You didn't tell me he was Peterson's dad." Brie shouted at her dad.
"Believe me, I wished you didn't exist as well." I replied before her father which resulted in a staring contest.
"Woah Guys relax. We are family now, try getting along please." Adrien pleaded
"I would rather get along with a skunk." She had the nerve to say
"Goodluck finding one that actually likes you." I spat back
"Hey!" Uncle Blake's rarely used authorative voice was unleashed silencing us immediately. "You two will get along and stop being at it each other's throats." He hissed staring daggers at me. Why me?
"Well it's this creature's fault." We said at the sametime and we were ready to go at it again when Uncle blake dropped a bombshell on us.
"Well, you two should freshen up, you are going on a road trip. I have already talked to Mia and Elsa's parents." He commanded still staring at me. Why is he blaming me?
"Yes my children. Blake and I have booked you into a resort for a week in Sedona and you will be driving there in ONE car for bonding purposes." Adrien said directed more to his daughter. Serves her right
