28. Knight XV

I couldn't sleep all night. My father was kidnapped. I usually talked to him before going to bed. He was my best friend and the only one who knew and accepted my sexuality without question. I kissed Elsa's forehead before heading to the living room. I opened the desktop while examining the flashdrive he gave me. He had told me that it will save us. I just needed to plug it into the server room in the third bunker. I plug it into the computer and immediately all techy computer stuff appeared on the screen. I believe the geeks say it is heavily encrypted. None of us could figure it out for sure so I ejected it. I was frustrated. It had been about nine hours since we got here. I did miss the fucker though. He had accepted me and not once accused me of trying to steal his inheritence as the rich spoilt brats might think. I know we were only siblings for a day but it was not bad. I didn't like the way he died, not one bit. But most of all, my pity was with Mia. I had never seen her so happy before and to have that ripped away from her must be soul crushing. I know losing Elsa would be catastrophic for me.

I went to the kitchen prepared us breakfast. The other two were knocked out and I didn't wake them up because I knew we needed all the sleep we can get. The past two days have felt like forever. I went to the server room and found the location of the car in the bunker. It was in the locked door in the garage. I guess we didn't see them because we were panicking when we got here. When I got back to the kitchen, sleeping beauty and Hello kitty were awake. Elsa fine, like a normal person who just woke up and her beauty caught my attention immediately, Mia however looked like shit. Were eyes were puffy and red, she was pale, her hair was a mess and her blue eyes were sad. They were drinking hot chocolate to drive away fatigue. I served breakfast for all of us and we ate in silence, went we were done, we did the dishes and went to our rooms to prepare for departure. Elsa and I took a very long shower together if feel me. We didn't have time to get our luggages so we had np extra clothes. The thought of repeating clothing make me cringe but I had no choice. Surely the safe haven bunker had clothes so it will only be until we get there. Mia then knocked on our door and shouted.

"We leave in an hour." With a voice void of any emotion. I can tell she was trying to be strong. I walked out of the room to catch up to her. We had not talked a lot lately but she was still my friend.

"Hei, how you holding up?" I asked, dreading carefully not to upset her

"I am as good as a grieving person can get." She replied with a sad smile. And I hugged her and she hugged me back.

"I didn't know you were into girls." She teased. "Is that why you always stared at me in the dressing room? You wanted me?" Mia laughed. I froze with embarassment, she saw me.

"Don't flatter yourself Color, I was just appreciating your natural assets." I scoffed "Besides, you are not my type. You are too...you."

"What is that supposed to mean?" She raised an eyebrow at me

"Well, you were, no offense, a bitch and I like my girls innocent." I smirked

"Pffff! All I heard is I would be too much for you to handle." She smirked back.

"Whatever! Too bad you will never experience the level of pleasure I give." I fired, still smirking. We both had big egos and would not be out worded.

"Trust me, I have experienced levels of pleasure you didn't know existed." She smiled. Smiled like a memory was going through her mind. Dirty girl.

"Agree to disagree." I decided to cut itmshort and focus on more important things."I found the car, it is in the garage. When you look to the left of where we left the car, there are two huge doors." I remembered.

"Lets go check it out, we only have a couple of minutes before we leave anyway."

We went to the garage and forced the doors open using a crowbar and Mia went to the car and started touching it like it was alive. She looked at me and the car enthusiast in her came to the surface.

"This a knightXV. It is 100% armour." She stated in awe

"Will it keep us alive?" I asked looking at the military grade SUV infront of me

"Keep us alive? It will do more than that. This car was designed for the purpose of being shot at and driving through anything. The BMW was modified hence it could handle only a certain amount of punishment. This car was made to be punished. We can drive through a damn military base in this." She explained clearly loving the car. The Elsa walked in, my phone in her hand looking mesmerized by the car

"Ehmm, Brie, Sally called, she said she was worried about you guys. She sounded genuinly scared and but I reassured her that you are fine." She stated cheerfully like the angel she is. But something was off, that totally didn't sound like Sally. I looked at Mia and her face told me the samething.

"That doesn't sound right." I stated

"Get in the car, now!" Mia suddenly yeld. We entered in the back seat and she took the driver's seat. She drove really fast towards the exit and since it wasn't fully open, she drove through it. We were barely a 100yards away when a missile hit the bunker and it exploded. A large ball of fire was formed and it started tailing us. Mia drove faster, still avoiding the trees and the fire stopped and we entered the road. The forest was on fire and we were panicking. Clearly That May guy had the same idea because scary looking vehicles stated following us. They had large guns ontop and looked as tough as our car if not tougher. I know Mia is a good driver but there is no way we are escaping this in one piece.

"Am so sorry. Its my fault. If I didn't answer that call..." Elsa cried. I hugged her immediately. I cannot believe I failed to notice her cry.

"No Elsa, you didn't know that this would happen Love."  I soothed.

"Guys, the is no way we are getting out of this. I will try to out run them. The moment we have an opening, I want you to climb out, find another car and go to the safe house. I will lead them away." Mia said sternly clearly intending to leave no room for argument

"Mia, No! We can do this. Come on, please, I promised David to stand by you." I tried to begged with her. I knew I wasn't going to win but I had to atleast try. At this point we were driving really fast and trying to avoid getting rammed off the road.

"Brie, you and Elsa have each other now. I have nothing to lose. And if they find me, they might not kill me immediately. They will look for the both of you and that will give you time to look for all of us, our parents, and then together we will make them pay, please, listen to me.we don't have time to argue about this. Just GO!" She ordered. Usually I would not take orders from anyone but this was an Emergency.

"Mia, take care of yourself. I promise, we will find you and everything will be alright." I assured her.

"I know you will. We have a 10 second window, make it count when I stop by that gas station." She said. "Goodluck."
"You ready Elsa?" I asked and she just nodded. Mia stopped and we jumped off and ran into the coffe shop. She drove off and seconds later multiple Military cars drove after her.

"Babe, It is time to go." I guided Elsa out once I was sure the cost was clear.

"Is she going to be alright?" Elsa asked, cleared as scared as I was if not more

"She has to be." I barely let out a sigh. "Com'on, let's find a way out of here."

This chapter felt kinda off-ish I know. Had a major writter's block. Hopefully things will get back on track. What do you think will happen to Mia. And the parents? Keep following and thank you for reading
