14. Feeling Humble

I couldn't get the make out session out of my head. After Dave showered, he left. He said I had 'emotionally scarred him'. Such a drama queen. I felt I also needed a cold shower immediately after he left cause he was really good at what he does. My ego didn't want him to see how much he had made me want him because he deserved to be punished. Now why was I regretting punishing him again? Right cause now am a horny mess with no cure in sight. I took a shower, put on my pjs and headed to the kitchen to help with the cleaning. Oh the rightousness is definately flowing through my veins now. Amma be the female Captain America soon.

A dozen misplaced dishes and five broken glasses later, Fiona asked me to stop cause 'she has got this'. She was grinning at me the entire time and I know we had formed a truce and all but she was acting weird.

"Sup?" I asked looking around trying to spot the source of her strange behaviour.

"Nothing! Just so happy to see you so in-Love with someone like him. He is mad about you for you." She basically squelled. Now I would usually tell anyone who squelled near me to piss off, but this was a chance to discuss Dave, so I just roll along.

"You think so? I mean he has been real from the beginning. But am scared you know. Like all the karma of every fuck up in my life will come back to bite me in the ass while am still on cloud-9." I confessed knowing Fiona will not judge me. "Losing David at this point would destroy me Fi."

"You won't. And if you hold yourself back from loving him fully, you are more likely to lose him than due to your fears which might never happen. That is why it is called a leap of faith. There is a chance you might get hurt when you reach the bottom just as there is a chance you might find the land of milk and honey at the bottom of this pit called love." She reassured me. Just then I heard footsteps walking towards the kitchen.

"Anna!"Fiona quickly headed towards her daughter and engulfed her in a hug. I was still a bit jealous but not in an evil way like before. Anna looked perplexed by my lack of harshness and my interaction with her mother.

"Hei Ann!" Resorting to the childhood nickname I had given her "Am sorry for being a bitch.  I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me or atleast give me a chance to prove to you that I have changed." I pleaded to my childhood friend. She didn't look at all convinced. I don't really blame her for being skeptical though as I have pulled a stunt like this before. Saying I have changed then surprise, i have not.

"Well that sounds familiar. I will be waiting for the part when you turn Icy again." She said coldly earning a glare from Fiona. She was about to speak but I interrupted her.

"I respect your opinion and althought My words do not convice you, I hope my actions will." I smiled slightly. Her returning the gesture, hers a bit more forced though.

With that, I left the room and went to sleep to prepare for my first day in school in almost a month and most importantly, to spent the day with David, the brown eyed Peterson.

The next morning, I woke up before my alarm rang. Two hours earlier to be precise. I took a shower, fixed my hair and applied just a light touch of make-up for the first time in years and I loved it. I looked genuinly good without looking like a barbie doll, curled my hair packed my bag and headed towards the kitchen. I found Fiona and Anna eating breakfast. It was quite a large meal with greasy food like Beacon and fried eggs with toast and sausage. Not what I would usually go for. As soon as they saw me, they stopped talking and looked at me like I was holding a gun.

"Carry on, don't stop on my account." I tried easing their tension but that seemed to frighten Fiona more. Anna still had that bored look on her face she always carries around me. It was the first time I had breakfast with them. Hell it was the first time I was up this early.

"Mia, my God! You are up early. I-i ha-haven't prepared y-your yo-your breakfast yet. I am so sorry please do not get mad at me, I will get it ready real quickly." She pleaded almost as if her life depended on it. I used to be a real dick wasn't I? Now I felt bad and this meal they were eating looked inviting

"Fiona, its fine. Besides, I am in the mood for something unhealthy today. Just today." I reassured her and she smiled at me in return. Anna just scoffed in return and mattered something under her breath before standing up to leave.

"Do you want a lift to school Anna? I am leaving early today. Have to start school an hour earlier everyday now until I catch up." I proposed already knowing she is going to reject. It's the thought that counts right?

"Nah! I can manage just fine." She replied just before shutting the door. Talk about bitter mood. But nothing can ruin my day.

"Sorry about her behaviour, she still doubts your intentions." She explained trying to make up for Anna's rudeness but it was not necessary, I would hate me too.

"It's okey Fiona, I totally get it." I brushed it off and Fiona prepared me the same breakfast they had which was very delicious. When I was done, I realised I now had only 10minutes to get to school. Damn it! The one time I woke up early and I still get to school late. I rushed to the garage. I needed to get to school fast but I was also feeling humble so I chose my first car. A yellow Porshe 911 convertable and drove to school. I got there with a few mimutes to spare. New driving record. I parked near a familiar BMW i8 and smiled. I took my books and rushed to Maths catchup class and when I entered my heart dropped and my smile was replaced by a frown and a wave of insecurity flooded through my body. In the back of the class, Anna was basically seducing my David and he was too naïve to notice. Oh wrong move bitch!

14 Chapters already. From here onwards, mark every behaviour because am starting to build up to the climax. I hope it is how am imagining it. The fight is on Anna VS Mia. An eye for an eye. Don't forget to vote if you are enjoying the story so far😄😄
