TW- Homophobia, yelling, implied rape and incest, implied child abuse
Don't worry, it (child abuse) isn't in very many chapters, if any after this. Because like... the point of this book is that they're getting away from their home lives. It's on Roman and Virgil's so you can like skip those.
Patton's birth name is Sunniva, going by Sunni
Everyone's about 14-16
Patton Hart
"Sunni!" Patton's mother, Rosa rang. Patton looked in the mirror, pulling back his long hair so that it looked shorter. He sighed. "Sunni! Mami has your dress!" She yelled through the house.
"I'll be there in a second, Mami!" Patton yelled. He ran his fingers through his hair, letting the curls work themselves back out. He walked to his mother's room, where him and his grandmother were.
"Okay, so, we can make adjustments if you don't like it." His grandmother, Gabriela said, her thick Spanish accent shining through. Patton nodded. She opened the garment bag, showing Patton the poofy, fancy, light blue dress.
"Wow, that is... really poofy." Patton said.
"Do you want it not to be poofy? I can take that off. It wouldn't be traditional, but if you like it, that's what's important." Gabriela said. Patton nodded.
"I like non traditional." He said. 'After all, I'm not traditional.' Rosa wrapped him from the side.
"I can't believe our little Sunni is becoming a woman!" She said, her eyes filling with tears of mixed emotions. Patton looked down, seeing his feminine body.
"Yeah. Me neither." He said, unable to cross his arms over his chest.
Logan Kroft
"Logan, I have a meeting with a colleague, could you stay out of the dining room until we're done?" His mother, Nancy asked as she set up a tea set. Logan nodded.
"Of course." He said. There was a knock on the door and Nancy went to answer it while Logan walked into the living room.
He pulled out his favourite book off the shelf, taking a seat a his chair. But it was hard to focus, hearing his mothers conversation.
"So, Josh and I broke up." Her friend said. Logan recognised the voice. Nancy said that it was a colleague, but really it was an old friend of hers.
"Oh, why? You two were good together." Nancy said.
"Uh... I just didn't like him that much." Her friend said. "At all." Logan could hear her fidgeting with her tea cup.
"Oh, why? I thought that you two were good friends before you perused a romantic relationship." Nancy asked. Logan heard her sip her tea.
"I'm a lesbian." Her friend said. Logan heard what he could only know was a 'spit take.'
"Get out of my house!" Nancy yelled. Logan heard her breath hitch.
"I--"
"Now! Get out!" Nancy yelled. Nancy's, seemingly now former friend, left. Logan waited for a moment before walking back into the dining room.
"Mother, are you alright?"
"Yes, I'm fine." Nancy said. Logan adjusted his glasses.
"Why did you force your colleague leave?" He asked. Nancy grimaced.
"I will not tolerate such a sin in this house." She said coldly.
