Chapter 9

"Cheska, do you want to join us?"

Before I could finally go out, Janine stopped me. I looked at my other classmates who were staying to finish our projects. They looked at me with their hoping eyes. Do they want me to stay?

"I'm sorry. I still need to do something" their expression quickly changed. They looked a bit disappointed. I gently shrugged "I'll try. Next time"

Their faces suddenly lit up. High expectations in their faces were so obvious. They told me to take care before I finally go.

I'm not really close to my blockmates. I'm a competitive type and to be honest I see them as my competitors. But I was also not lying when I told them na 'I'll try' to join them. It's just that I don't know when is that happening. Pretty sure not soon though.

I immediately went home to finish some pattern drafting and sketching. I still have two weeks before the deadline but, if it's possible I need to finish these tomorrow night. I'm rushing it a bit because I've been missing-in-action lately sa modeling career ko. Luckily, my manager was very supportive and considerate. She always made sure that my schedule doesn't create conflict in my studies.

I need to do modeling next week since I need to earn some funds to buy materials that I'll be needing in school.

Dad pays my tuition fee and condo but for my fashion/art materials it's all in me. I've been doing modeling since freshman days to buy materials that I needed. It was kinda good since I'm learning how to balance my passion and hobby and at the same time I'm earning money that I also learned how to spend wisely.

Ales calling...

"Limang beses na akong tumatawag sayo! What the hell!"

Napangiwi ako at nailayo ang phone ko. She literally scolded me the moment I picked up her call

"So what now?" I got up from my desk and checked the calendar. It's just Wednesday so don't tell me mag-aaya sila uminom!

"Nomi?"

"Okay bye. I'm hanging up"

I heard her laughed.

"Hindi kasi ngayon! Friday? Or sat? Kaylan ka ba free?"
