Last Week of School

It was Thursday, one more day till Friday, last week of school before exams start.

I was awake before my alarm, something that occasionally happened when I either had a nightmare or my brain just felt like making me wake up and never sleep again after.

I sighed as I looked at the ceiling in my room, it was plain white and had a rough texture to it. I couldn't stare long since a piece of... something would occasionally fall from the ceiling. I think it was paint but who really knows right?

I glanced at my alarm: it just turned 7, though my alarm was a bit ahead so really it was 6.. something close to 7.

I debated getting up before just deciding to lay in bed and wait for my alarms to go off, yeah you heard me right, alarms, plural, I needed a lot since I couldn't get up by just one alarm. 

I checked when my alarms would go off and decided instead to get ready. 

'So long warm and comfy bed, I'll miss you,' I thought as I forced myself off the bed, or I guess yeeting myself off, and continued on with my morning routines in the bathroom.

I rushed a bit, not wanting to have to run to the alarm and turn them off with a toothbrush in my mouth.

I went downstairs then I popped some waffles in the toaster and slathered both with nutella and sprinkled some white chocolate chips in between and on top.

I devoured the delicacy before washing my face and checking the clock. I still had an hour before Gabe would come get me. Being that I'm in grade 11, I decided to work on some culminating assignments and even maybe finish some early.

After I was done I saw that it was 8:20. Sighing I decided 'screw it'.

I texted Gabe that I was picking her up and headed out. I didn't bother telling my parents as they were already at their jobs considering the dirty dishes in the sink that weren't there yesterday.

I left the house, locking it with my spare key, and went to get Gabe.

When I got to her house, her mother answered and let called Gabe, who was still eating.

After she was done eating, Gabe and I walked to school in no hurry.

"Do you want to come with me?"

Gabe looked at me confused.  "What?"

"Do you want to come with me to the Eco Club trip thing. It could be fun."

Gabe seemed to think about it before declining.  

"I don't think I can. You're leaving in the second week of summer right? So I wouldn't be able to come since I have family stuff to do and people to meet."

"Ah I guess. Though I'm still going to spam you pictures there." I said cheekily.

"Haha yeah and I wouldn't mind, just don't you dare pop you cherry without telling me!"

I blushed at that comment.

"What the heck??!! Who the heck do you think I am? You know if anything I'd be too busy trying to steal some chocolates or something!" I stated proudly.

Gabe laughed. "Right.. and then you'll meet a guy whose trying to steal the same thing as you and then tries to blame you and run with his stolen item and then you'll meet again and fall in love."

I deadpanned at Gabe's explanation. She was always one to be absorbed with romantic books.

"Yeah right, if that ever happens I'll give you 50 bucks."

"Hehehe make it 100 and you'll see, I have a feeling you might just end up falling for someone."

I scoffed. I hadn't really though much about relationships and such. I mean I've had crushes, I just never really dated anyone. The most I've done is hang out with some guy friends but that was it, and even those interactions were pretty few considering I was in grade 7 at the time. I don't even hang out with them anymore now.

As we approached the school, Gabe and I separated to our designated classes. I've really got to give in the form today.

°After School°

Walking out of the horror building of hormones and bad grades, I walked along side Gabe as we headed in the direction of our homes.

"Did you give the form? I'm gonna guess you did as you weren't with me during lunch, and if you didn't give the form I'll smack you I swear."

"Hahaha, yeah I gave it, thank God. I feel so much less worry now that I handed it in."

Gabe crossed her arms and smirked, seeming to be proud.

"Good, I would have smacked you if you didn't."

I laughed. "You seem to be in a smacking mood I suppose." 

"Heheh of course, it's fun."

I rolled my eyes at her, so strange.

As I got home and ate dinner I decided to read on my phone before watching some shows.

During dinner I stayed silent as my parents discussed work, trying to ignore their occasional gaze at me.

As I lay in bed, I wondered about how the trip would be. Hopefully it'll be fun, if not I'll ditch and wander in a forest.

I chuckled at my thoughts. Oh well it's just how I am. And I drifted off to sleep.

Hey! Yeah I haven't updated, sorry about that.... anyways next part is where reader goes underground!

So yeah, also I'm writing another book atm so it's going to maybe be even slower updates, oh well.
