The sound of a notification on my phone woke me up.

'I'll deal with that later. It might just be an alarm from wattpad or something.'

"Ugh fine!"

'I swear, if this is just an annoying notifications, I'm gonna scream.'

I opened my phone to find that it was my friend, Gabe, texting me.

'Are you kidding me right now?'

I sighed and opened up my phone.

"Good morning sunshine!
Ready for school?"

"Hello? You dead? Lol"

"You're gonna be late...

"... are you kidding me?

I jumped out of bed rushing through everything and almost crushed my friend to the ground as I jumped out the front door.

"As much as I love that you aren't late I'd also appreciate not being tackled"

"Sorry but I mean, you gotta admit that I was pretty quick considering I slept in."

Gabe didn't seem to even have the energy to roll her eyes as she grabbed my hand and forced me to run.

"Quick or not, we're still going to be late if we don't hurry up!"

I didn't bother checking the time and booked it with Gabe, why does today feel weird?

~At School~

During Eco club, the teacher, Mr. Bulwuth, asked if we had signed the papers. Of course I had forgotten about it and didn't remember that I had to do that stuff. I mean I wanted to go, I just don't remember that really goodly (I don't care if that's not a word this is my mind so what I say goes!)

I decided to write a reminder on my hand in pen so that I wouldn't forget. I can't write on an agenda because I'm pretty sure that I'd forget I wrote something in there.

'Sign trip paper!'

Alright I got it, now I just hope it doesn't wash off too much by the time I get home...

When Geo was done I headed to math since I couldn't see Gabe anywhere.

When I got in class I was glad that there wasn't going to be too much complicated stuff as there would be in grade 12 functions.

Thank God! I'm so glad that I don't have to deal with brain-draining material!

Though of course that didn't stop the teacher from hounding us with homework and a full-blown lecture about integrity.

Did someone plagiarize or something? They do know teachers have a way of hunting us down right?

Even though the lecture was suuuuuper boring, I was glad Ms. Maclimorah made it last 30 min of class since we didn't have to do any work.

Once the bell rang I was so happy, I mean sure I have a lot of homework but at least I don't have to revise stuff.

"Hey (y/n)! I'm so glad that Ms. M lectured us, today's class was sooo boring!"

I looked to my right to see Fatima, a classmate and friend.

"Hey, yeah I know right? But I mean, how interesting can functions really get? I mean it's all just numbers and letters!"

"Haha yeah it's really tiring, well anyway bye (y/n)! See you tomorrow!"

"Bye Fatima, we'll see if I'm here tomorrow." I laughed at my silly joke that I usually said to my friends whenever I was leaving. Who knows what might happen today?

I walked to Gabe's locket and waited for her a bit. Gabe knew I didn't like using the lockers, that was just too much work and effort to go back and to from each class.

As I waited I decided to play some games on my phone, which I probably shouldn't have considering how Gabe could be.

Gabe loves trying to scare me, even though it never works. So as I was waiting for her near her locker, she of course tried to scare me.

"Bah!"

I flinched a bit at the sound in my ear and the sudden weight on my shoulder. I sighed, of course she got me at the one time I was really focused on something else.

I shook my head, "ya didn't scare me Gabe, but nice try." I said as I turned around to face her.

She just giggled.

"Oh come on you never seem scared of anything! How am I supposed to get payback?!"

"Heheheh you don't that's how, just admit defeat and we'll both be chilling instead of plotting against each other."

Gabe sighed and shook her head.

"That's easy for you to say, you don't seem to be scared by anything I do!"

I shrugged my shoulders.

"Oh well, you know what Sans says, "welp"."

"You're such a meanie!"

Gabe pouted and proceeded with dealing her locker business. While I rolled my eyes

Ah this girl be Cray Cray. Good thing she doesn't know the one thing that scares me to my core. Ughghghhhh.

I waited for Gabe to finish and we continued walking to our houses while talking about anything interesting.

"Hey did you sign that form yet? If not you should probably get on that and quick. Apparently it is only for a couple people."

"Wait what? Why?"

"I don't know probably has something to do with only those who have pretty good grades can go or else the field trip might interfere with marks."

"Mmm that don't sound right, the school can't really do that can they? I mean we've had several field trips and there were several kids that had like 60s and even 50s in those classes who came."

Gabe shrugged. "I don't know, it's just information that I was given from some friends. But if you want to go you should hurry up with that form lazy pants."

Now it was my turn to pout.

"Hey! I'm not that lazy......"

"Hah you sure about that? If I remember correctly you've kept most of your work till the last 2 to 3 days to complete last year."

"Well that was last year! At least I'm trying a bit more this year!"

"Mhmm right..."

The rest of the time we walked we were bickering. We were so distracted we didn't realize that we'd reached her house.

"Damn, now I have to walk all the way back to my house. Ahh the suffering."

"Oh shut up, it's only 8 houses down."

"I know but still.. ugh walking."

Gabe shook her head and pushed me.

"Then I guess you better start before you take up all night!"

I stuck out my tongue at her as she did the same.

"Alright I'm going, bye Gabe, see ya tomorrow!"

"Yeah yeah, don't forget to sign the form!"
