The New Neighbor

School

*Tessa POV*

When I press the gas the car jumps forward and I freak out. He looks at me and I give him a small smile. "Sorry I- I ummm. The last time I drove was when I was with Christi that night. I was driving back from the store and I dropped her off. She said she loved me but when I went back she- she threw me out." I feel the tears hit my cheeks. He looks at me and I start to drive. I make it surprisingly. "Okay I am getting out before you kill me. You should go because we are late." He says then closes the door. As we walked up to the school he laced his fingers with mine.

We enter the school and I lead him to the office. "Good morning Tessa" Kendra greets me and I smile, She looks at Hardin. "This is Hardin. He is new here and I want to show him around. He lives next door to me so I can help him with homework and stuff." I say and she smiles. "Oh, Well hello Hardin! I'm Mrs. Linda, I am also Tessa's best friend." Kendra says and he smiles. She hands him a schedule and we leave. "What's your first class?" He asks me and I look at him. Fuck I forgot we were in different grades. "I have global. What about you?" I ask him and he looks at me, I really hope we have the same class. "I have Science" He looks at me and I frown. "What about next class?" He asks and I smile. "My favorite English" I squeal and shake my hands. "You like to read?" He asks and my face drops. "No I LOVE to read" I yell in excitement. "Well see you in English." He says and turns to walk away. "Wait Tess what way is the science room?" He asks and I giggle. "Follow me" I turn and he follows me. He walks in and I talk to the teacher. I tell him he is new and doesn't like to be bothered by people. I walk to my class and wait.

30 minutes pass and class is dismissed. I go to the science room and meet Hardin. "HI!" I say when he comes out. I grab his shoulders and jump on his back. He grabs my thighs and I wrap my arms around his neck. "Can you carry me to English?" I ask and he lets out a chuckle. "sur-" He is cut off by me being ripped off his back. I turn around to see Steph "Get the fuck off my man!" She yells in my face. "What are you talking about? He hasn't even been here for 2 hours" I say and push her. "Don't push me Bitch!" She grabs my hair and shoves me on the ground. "What the hell!?" I yell and sit up. "Stay away." She says and kicks me in the stomach. "Ow" I scream and then I feel tears hit my cheek. "What the fuck?! Steph is that it? Well guess what I. DON'T. FUCKING. LIKE. YOU! I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND!" I hear Hardin yell at steph and then he rushes over to me and I see Steph walk away. "Tess, Are you okay?" He asks and I grab his t-shirt. "M-My stomach." I hold my stomach with one arm and the other one is around Hardin's waist. He wraps his arm under my legs and the other around my back. He holds me and walks to the office.
