Nightmares

               "Tessa?" I hear a voice say. I look over and see Kassie's little brother. "Oh my gosh Sam?!" I squeal and he runs over to me. I hug him. "I missed you. What are you doing here?" He asks and I look away. "Remember what happened that night Christie lied?" I ask and he nods. "Well those guys that touched me they broke my leg and bruised my ribs. They also took my mom" I say and he grabs my hand. "Is she okay?" He asks and I feel a lump in my throat. "I don't know. But my boyfriend Hardin is going to look for her. I just hope he comes back. I miss him." I tell Sam and he nods. "I know he will come back." He says and I smile.

A little while later Kassie comes back with the food and Sam, Kassie, and me all eat. We goof off and laugh. I thought of my words earlier. 'Boyfriend' I called Hardin. Are we dating? Does he want to date? I want to text him. I pull my phone out and before I know it I've sent him four text messages. 'Hardin are you okay?' 'Have you found her?' 'I miss you' 'I love you and I can't wait for you to come home. I can't wait to have you in my arms.' I get my phone taken from my hands and see Kassie reading them. "Hey!" I say and take my phone back.  I see that he is texting and I smile. 'Hey baby, I miss you more than you think. I am okay, I have not found her yet but I am on my way to the 2 place. I love you baby and I can't wait to see your beautiful face and kiss your pink lips'  I feel my eyes have tears. 'I will miss sleeping in your arms tonight. I  can't wait until I get this stupid cast off'  I text him and he replies with laughing emojis. 'Goodnight Tess'  He texts me and I turn my phone off.  I finish eating and say goodnight to Sam. Kassie stays with me for a little longer and I fall asleep.

              'No! Stop! leave him alone!'  I shout and they keep beating Hardin. He has blood running out of his nose and I cry. I try to help him but I can't move. I see my mom on the bed tied by her ankles and wrists. 'STOP! Take me please!'  I scream but they don't stop. I see some guy come over to my mom and pull his pants off. He starts to rape her but I am suddenly awaken my to hands shaking my body. I open my eyes and gasp. "NOOOOO" I scream one last time. "Tessa! Oh my god you wouldn't stop yelling are you okay?!" Kassie asks worried. I nod and sit up. I check the time and see that it's 3 am. Great. I try and fall back to sleep and fail. I text Hardin and ask him if he has had any luck but he hasn't opened it yet. I get worried but I find something to detract myself with. I see 'Wauthering Hights' Sitting on the book shelf and I try to walk over and get it, I end up falling so I half to crawl the rest away. I grab the book and starts to make my way back to the bed when my phone dings. I try and make my way to the bed faster.  I get up and see Hardin's name appear. I grab it and read his text. 'I have found the car that they had. I will text you when I am on my way back. Love you' I read his text and feel my eyes tear up. I start to read and before I know it, its 7 pm. I text Kassie and ask her to come help me. A couple minutes later she comes into my room. I tell her the news and she gets exited. I text Hardin goodnight and Kassie stays with me until I drift to sleep. 

'Stop!' I yell at the gross man raping my mom. Hardin is laying on the floor with a knife in his stomach. I start to cry and try and help him but once again I'm stuck. 'HELP' my mother screams and the man slaps her. Another man walks up to her side and forces her mouth around him. She has tears coming out of her eyes and I know how she feels. Hardin is still lying on the floor when another man comes out of the dark and kicks him. He then grabs Hardin and starts stabbing him. 'STOP! Please I will take his spot! Just let him go!' I yell but nothing happens. 

             I wake up and I am drenched in sweat. I start to cry and call Hardin. He doesn't answer and I cry into his voice mail. Kassie rushes into my room and sees me soaked and crying. "Oh my gosh Tessa what happened?!" She asks and rushes to my side. "Last night when you woke me up. I was having a horrible dream and they are getting worse. They feel so real" I cry out and hug her. She wraps her arms around my back and rubs it. I try and stop my tears but the nightmare keeps replaying.  "he is okay Tessa" She says and I know he is but my imagination is saying something else.

              When I open my eyes again I grab my phone straight off. The nightmare replays in my head again. My fingers fumble to find Hardin's name. When I open our chat I see that he has responded. 'Hey Tess! I found your mum and I am on my way to the hospital. I will text you the address and I will tell Kassie that we found her and that she needs to get you to the hospital.'  I read and I send thank you really quick and then shout down to Kassie to help me get to the hospital. I try to get changed and I almost fall a few times. I get into my stupid chair and push myself out of the room. Kassie is sitting there with her shoes and keys.
