The Growth Of Decay

"Harry come see." Ivy said as she traced her hands over the pods as they started to squirm and stretch. It had been a week since the glamorous ball and finally the seedling were about to bloom. "They are hatching." she smiled with such anticipation and joy. It had been a few days since the ball and it had come time for the seeds Harry had planted to finally bloom. "Such beautiful creatures." she said breathless as the beauty of them all. Ivy couldn't; contain herself as she ventured back upstairs and towards her apartment to fetch him. "Darling?' she asked turning the knob as the room was nothing but darkness. Harry had been waiting patiently, feeling them all as they grew within their cocoons. He sat quietly in the darkest corner of the room, telling them all that everything would be alright. They were all connected together. The dark dwelling roots of the soul were attached as Harry heard their whispers, their cries, their yearning to be free.

Ivy kept her silence, feeling his vibrations, for she too was apart of them. She did create him after all. After a few moments she leaned down and placed her hands on top of his. "Darling." she whispered. She knew this moment meant everything. They were the superior beings now and their domination meant they could recreate the world in their own image. "Paradise." Ivy said to herself as she smiled down at him. "Come my love." she pushed gently.
