chapter 8

3rd person POV (I might do most of the story in this POV hope y'all don't mind)

"What?" Mariano asked even though he heard what the girl said. The group was shocked, they didn't know what to say.

"Please don't do anything." Mar pulled away from her and headed to the door.

"Mar! No!" The girl chased after him. "Please!" She pleaded as she wrapped her arms around his waist, shoving her face in his chest.

"Fine, but if I see him, I'm gonna kill him." Alex didn't want to hear 'well what were you wear?' Or 'you did this to yourself.' Again. Last time Alex tried to do something about Tyler nothing happened and it was a waste of time. Everyone thought she was lying.

"I need to shower," Alex said since she still felt Tyler pressed up against her body. "Can the boys stay the night?" Alex asked. Mariano just simply nodded.

Alex listened to her low music as she let the hot water roll down her back. She slowly sat down and pulled her knees up to her chest, crying softly into them.

Her soft cries soon turned into loud sobs. She felt as if she was Alice falling down the rabbit hole but the rabbit hole didn't take her to wonderland it took her to emptiness. Cold, dark, emptiness. Alex's throat was burning from the loud sobs she let out. The water turned cold and that why Alex decided to get out. She changed into the PJs she brought into the bathroom and brushed her teeth.

Alex sat down on her bed when there was a knock on her door.

"Yes?" She said softly since her throat still hurt. Alejandro poked his head in before walking in and shutting the door.

"Hey, baby." He said as he slowly made his way over to her.

"Ale, can you stay with me tonight?" The girl said not looking up.

"Of course. Come on, let's cuddle." Alejandro took his shirt and pants off, leaving him in boxers. The pair got under the covers and snuggled up.

Alex rested her head on his chest as he played with her hair. The feeling made Alex fall asleep.

A loud thud followed by a crash came from downstairs. Alex sat up in bed and turned her side lap on. The girl panicked as she heard heavy footsteps coming up the stairs.

Her door nob began to slowly turn and the door creaked open. Alex let out a sigh of relief once she saw who it was.

"Dad you scared me." She laughed a little. Her dad was clearly intoxicated.

The next this the poor girl knew was her so-called 'dad' was on top of her trying to get her pants off. Alex kicked and cried, trying to stop the man but he was much bigger than her.

"Shh kitten we're just gonna have fun."

Alex shot up in bed gasping for air. Alejandro woke up too and pulled the girl into his chest. Alex soon began to scream cry into Alejandro's chest. Ale pushed her head into his chest, to not wake anyone up. This went in for so long that Alex lost her voice. Alejandro laid down and pulled Alex close to his chest. She was still crying but not as much.

"Sh I got you," Ale said as he rubbed the girls back. Alejandro had to blink back a few tears. His heart ached at the sight.

The two fell back asleep and stayed asleep for the rest of the night.

The next morning Alex woke up and Alejandro was gone. She made her way downstairs and saw Mattia watching Netflix.

"Good morning. The boys had to leave and Mar went to work." (Yeah Mar works but im not saying what cuz idk what's a good job for him lmao)

"You stayed?" Alex asked. Mattia paused his movie.

"Of course. I wanted to be here for you."

"Why?"

"Well I care a lot about you and it hurts me to see you like this." Mattia's words made Alex bit her lower lip trying to fight off the little smile that wanted to appear.

"Thank you, Tia." Mattia smiled brightly at the nickname. Alex sat next to the boy.

"Let's cuddle." She said and leaned on him.

"You went from not wanting to be around me, to wanting to cuddle? Who did a whole 180 now?" Alex giggled making Mattia smile down at her. His plan was working. He wanted Alex to forget everything bad in her life, even if it was just for a bit. He wanted to see her smile.

"I know you said you don't like me but I'm always gonna be here for you."

"I like you now Mattia." The girl looked up at the boy.

"Yea but not how I like you." The girl slightly smirked. She knew now who she actually liked.

"And how do you like me?" 

"I wanna be with you. I wanna make you mine, show you off, hold your hand, kiss you whenever I want. But it's okay that you don't feel the same, I'm just happy we're friends now. Right?" Mattia was shocked to feel Alex's lips on his. He kissed back and placed his hand on her cheek. Alex did feel bad for leading Alejandro on and kissing him last night then kissing Mattia today but she wanted to be happy and right now, Mattia is making her happy. Mattia is making her so happy, the happiest she's been in a while. Alex knew she deserved to be with Mattia and deserved to feel happy.

Little did the poor girl know that she wasn't gonna be happy in the end.
