chapter 12

3rd person POV

"Danny I swear to fucking God imma murder you!" Alex screamed as she tried to get out of his grip. Danny was holding her over the pool, threatening to drop her in.

"Come on, it's a good wake up," Danny smirked down at her.

"Please no!" They were the only two awake, the other boys were still sleeping. They all slept over and stayed up really late so it's 12 pm and only two of the six are up.

The back gate opens and in walked Mattia, Ale and Kai. Alex smiled over at them while Danny gave them the death stare.

"What are they doing here?" He asked not taking his eyes off them.

"Chill D, we're friends again." But Danny was still not having it.

Frank, Logan, Julian and Danny are all very protective over Alex because they know everything that happened to her and don't want it to happen again. (Everything with Tyler, Matthew, her parents and Mattia)

Danny dropped Alex into the pool and stormed over to the boys. He grabbed Mattia by the shirt and slammed him against the wall. Danny was the tallest, standing at 6'3 when Mattia was only 6'1.

"Danny!" Alex screamed once she came above water. Logan, Julian, Frank and Mariano all came running out of the house. Frank went over to help Alex out of the pool while the others watched Danny and Mattia.

"I don't care if she forgave you or whatever but you are not allowed anywhere near her!" Danny shouted in Mattia's face.

"Chill bro her and I are cool now." Danny took a step back and punched Mattia right in the face. They started fighting, with Danny on Mattia. Logan and the boys were cheering because they hated Mattia. Alejandro and Kai were trying to stop Danny. And Mariano was just standing back trying to remember last night.

"Danny! Stop!" Alex got out of Frank's grip and ran to help Mattia. She pulled on Danny's arm but it didn't help. In fact, when Danny went to swing again his elbow hit Alex right in the nose, causing her to fall back and groan in pain. Loud gasps were what made Danny stop. He looked around until his eyes landed on Alex, who was crying and holding her bloody nose.

"Oh, bubba!" Mariano said and picked her up. He noticed the hickeys on her neck and felt anger bubble up in him. He placed her inside on the couch and went to get ice.

"Alex I'm so sorry!" Danny said running in with everyone following him.

"Go away, Danny," Alex said not even looking at him.

"Please, I'm so sorry." Danny sat next to her and tried to pull her into his chest but she pushed him away.

"Danny why would you do that!" Alex screamed making everyone jump back a bit.

"What do you mean? I was just looking out for you."

"No Danny! You were trying to control me!"

"What? No, I was not!" Danny said and stood up. Alex did too, still holding her nose. Mar came back with Ice and placed it on Alex's nose.

"You always try to control me and I'm sick of it! You tell me what not to wear, who I should hang out with and what times I should be out until! I feel like I have to ask for your permission to do anything!"

"I just don't want you to get hurt again!"

"Guys come on. Stop fighting." Julian said as he stood in between the two. Danny and Alex are very alike and always argue. The boys hate it when their two best friends fight because sometimes they won't talk to each other for a few days.

All this yelling made Alex light-headed. Julian was talking to Danny, trying to calm him down and noticed Alex swaying back and forth, causing him to stop mid-sentence.

"You alright baby?" Frank asked as he and Logan stepped forward. "You need to sit down." He continued and sat her down on the couch, taking the spot next to him.

"Danny I'm sorry," Alex confessed.

"I'm sorry too." Danny kneeled down in front of the girl and held her hands.

"You need to calm down okay. Just breathe." Danny said and squeezed her hands. The 4 boys have watched Alex go through many panic attacks and know what to do to help her. Frank rubbed her back and she slowly rested her head on his shoulder. She felt the weight of his head on hers and smiled.

"Someone change the topic," Julian whispered.

"So Alex, where'd ya get the hickeys from?" Alejandro pointed out. Alex blushed and looked down. Mar was waiting for an answer, very curious on who Alex was dating now, or at least sleeping with.

"Was it Frank?" Kairi asked. Just the sound of his voice made Danny roll his eyes. Alex saw this and lightly slapped his face making him smile at her.

"Nah it was Mariano," Frank said blankly.

"What?" Mar asked from the chair in the corner of the room

"You don't remember? Yesterday you and Alex did the dirty! You were probably too drunk." Logan laughed.

"We what? We had sex?" Mar asked and got up.

"N-no we didn't." Alex shook her head and shot Logan and dirty look.

"Tell us what happened then Alex," Logan smirked, he was just trying to make Alex mad. He always did that.

"Mariano, can I talk to you alone?" Mar nodded and walked into the kitchen. Alex followed closely behind.

"So what happened? Did we have sex?"

"No, we didn't but we did kiss."

"Just a kiss? Then why do you have hickeys?"

"Well we were about to have sex but you were drunk." Mar couldn't help but feel happy, even if he didn't remember, he kissed Alex!

"Is that it?" Mar asked.

"Well, you also told me... Uh, you told me you were in love with m-me." Alex turned a bright shade of red just thinking about that moment.

"I-I did?" Mar choked out.

"Yea. Is it true? Are you in love with me?" Mar swallowed hard, trying to think about what to say.

"Alex..."

Cliff hanger haha.. I'm kinda in a weird situation rn cuz this is a New Jersey boys story but I kinda want her to end up with Mar. What do you guys think??
