"Hello my name is Christi, and welcome to Anger Management" a lady who looks way to young to be helping people with anger says
Honestly I have no room to talk because I'm 16 having to learn how to manage my anger. For what? I don't know exactly.
"Can anyone tell me exactly why they are here?" She asks with a little bit too much enthusiasm. Nobody responds. "How about you?" She says pointing to me.
" Um because the judge made me do this instead of going to jail." I say with annoyance in my voice. A couple people laugh.
" Cmon seriously. Tell me your name, your age and how you got here."
"This is bullshit. I don't have to tell some stranger in front of a bunch of other strangers why I'm angry to know that I'm angry. Do you really wanna no why I'm here?" I say raising my voice a bit.
"Yes I actually do because you seem way too young to have all this anger in your heart. So tell this stranger I front of all these other strangers why you're here, and also your name and age." She says with a sincere voice
"My name is Brianna, and I'm here because phone accidentally fell out of my hand and landed on my moms face., and it gave her a black eye." I say with a hint of boredom in my voice.
"Can you tell us exactly why you did that?" She asks. "It's a long story." I respond. "I'm pretty sure we have enough time." She says looking at everyone else around the room.
" Well I had moved to New Jersey because me and my mother didn't have the best relationship. Me just being here was hurting my siblings more than it was hurting me, so I had to leave for them. I hated the fact that I had to leave them, but I knew that, that was what was best for them. When I got to New Jersey, I met an amazing group of people. I started a new life and I was finally happy. I was doing everything I wanted and more. Then I get a call from my mom. Her boyfriend kicked her out of her own house. The house that she pays for. She wasn't doing good financially and she needed help taking care of my siblings, so I moved back. I left everything for her. I left my new family for her." I say tearing up a bit. " When I got back to Texas, guess who she was with? Her boyfriend. The one who kicked her out of her own house. Seeing them together made me so mad. One thing led to the other, and I was in the back of a cop car."
" Thank you for sharing. I can see that it took a lot out of you. Thank you for taking the risk to share your feeling with people you don't know." She said smiling at me. "Anyone else" She asked walking away.
2 hours passed and I was waiting outside for Jay to pick me up. When he finally does, I'm a little annoyed because of how long he took. I get in the car, put my seatbelt on, and he drives off. "So how was it?" He asks. " Boring as fuck." I respond a little bit angry.
"Did you learn anything?" He asks. "Uhh." I pause trying to think. "I still hate my mom." I respond sarcastically. "Well at least you're being honest." He says with a smile. "Yeah I guess."
"What are we doing today." I ask looking at him. "Well I was thinking we can just chill at home, since it's going to be your first day back to therapy with Mr.Andrews." He says looking between me and the road. "That's boring." I say . To which he responds with, "Well I don't know what else you wanna do."
"I wish I could see my brothers and sisters." Since the incident, I haven't been able to see my brothers or sisters at all. My mom put a restraining order against, so I can't be anywhere near them because she's always with them. They only way I can is if Jay picks them up, and even then she won't let him take them. I hate her so fucking much.
