Don't Leave Me

"It's about you actually" He says as I hand him a snack. "Then tell me" I say. I honestly just want some one to be straight up with me. They keep forgiving me without telling me how they feel, and I know that deep down they're angry with me. "Why did you leave ?" He asks. "You know how the last time you visited Texas and I told you I would do anything for my brothers." I say tryna get him to remember. "Yeah" he says back. "That's why I left." I say hoping he'll understand.

"I get it Bri, I do. I would never leave my mom or Maiya. But I know that if there was somewhere I needed to be with people who accept me, they would understand. Cuz they love me." He explains. "Yeah but it's different. Maiya has your mom and dad. My brothers don't have anybody. Nobody wants to take care of that many kids but me." I explain. "I keep forgetting that there is gonna be 8 of you." He says shaking his head. "Then just take them with you." He says. "Kairi I wish I could, but she would never let me." I say trying to get him to understand. "How did you get to leave ? Just do what you did for them, and then you guys can all leave. Tell Jay to adopt them or whatever." He says trying to offer any solution. "It's not that easy Kairi" I say back in a sad voice.

"Then what did you do ?" He asks loudly. "Just tell me what you did and maybe I can help." He says going back to his normal tone. "I take a deep breath, "I've never told anyone, but I got emancipated. Jay is just my manager. He doesn't have custody over me. I don't think you understand how much tine goes into that. This fucked up system that goes against people who need the most help." I say running my hands through my hair. "The only reason my process was quicker is-". "Because you're a celebrity". He says with air quotes. "Yeah" I say. "Can you at least try. Please Bri. Do anything. Just don't leave me." He says as his eyes start to water. "Fuck Kairi" I say as I go to hug him. "Why did you have to do this to us ?" He asks as he hugs me back.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." I say petting his hair. "I missed you so much. Come back please." He says looking at me. "I'll try" I say but wanting to tell him I probably can't. I lead him to the couch so we can sit. "Do you know how bad it hurt to see you leave ? You are one of the only girls in my life that made me happy without hurting me after. All these bitches just cheat on me." He says laughing. "Kairi you are the best person anybody can have in their life because you're a real one. You don't sugar coat shit for nobody." I say trying to make him feel better.

"You still left though" he smiles with tears in his eyes. "Yeah I did. But you don't know how much I regretted it. How much I hated myself for leaving y'all. How stupid I felt because I thought something might be different. Or that it will be better. But it wasn't. The only time I felt myself was when I was with you guys. And I don't want that feeling to ever go away." I explain. "Can we just promise each other not to leave ?" He asks. "I promise" I say holding out my pinky. "Your goofy" he says as he interlocks my pinky with his. "Shut up" I say as I push his head.

We end up falling asleep on the couch. "What the fuck ?" I hear someone say and wake me up.  I stretch my arms out and open my eyes to see all the boys surrounded around the couch me and Kairi fell asleep on. "What a bunch of fucking creeps" I say getting off the couch. Gianmarco follows me into my room. "I poured my heart out to you just so you can go sleep with somebody else." He says angrily. "You do know I'm too old for you " I say grabbing clothes. "Bro 2 years. It's just 2 years. He says still following me. "Exactly so who do you think I'm gonna look for ? Boys my age or boys your age?" I ask going to my bathroom. "But-" I cut him off. "I'm not having this conversation with you. Tell the boys I'm gonna shower" I say closing the door in his face.

I get ready and it's already two, so I go to the kitchen to make the boys food. "What do y'all want to eat ?" I ask. "Not your food" Mattia says. "Whatever" Alvaro says. "Something Texan" Robert says. "First of all you always eat my food, and chicken fried steak it is." I say pulling stuff out the fridge. "Why does everything have to be fried here ?" Kairi asks. "Because it tastes better." I respond.

After we eat we just hang out. We decide to go bowling so right now everyone's getting ready. I decide to wear this.

We start getting in the cars. It's me, Alvaro, Mattia, and Robert in one car. Alex, Kairi, Roshaun, and Gianmarco in the other. Once we're in the car, we drive to the bowling place. Mattia is in charge of the music. In the middle of us jammin out Mattia pauses the music. "Bro I forgot that we got to wear those ugly ass shoes" he says shocked. "Oh fuck not the bowling shoes" Alvaro says. "Dude it's just shoes." I say annoyed. "Yeah but they're ugly" Mattia responds. "You literally wear only vans" I reply. "Vans are better than those shoes" Robert says.

I turned around and stared at him. Once we got there, we got our shoes and cards and went to the lane they gave us. "Alright so how we gonna do this ?" Roshaun asks. Mattia smiles, "short people against tall people." "That's not fair" Alvaro says. "That's cheating" Gianmarco adds. "Bet" I say walking up to Mattia and holding out my hand. They have a surprised look while the others are trying to get me not to do it. "You sure ?" He asks smiling. "Positive" I say. "Ok" he says shaking my hand.

"Are you serious ?" Kairi asks. "Guys cmon. They think we're gonna loose just cuz we're short. We need to prove them wrong. Plus it's not like we're playing basketball." I explain . "Period team captain" Alvaro says giving me a high five. "Que le estas haciendo a mi corazon (What are you doing to my heart) ?" Gianmarco asks. "I'll go first" I say to them. We walk over to the tall boys, and they are still talking.

When they're done, they face us. "Who's going first ?" Alejandro asks. "I am" I say walking to the balls and picking one up. I walk toward the lane and lift the ball to my face. As I analyze the pins, the tall boys are saying stuff to throw me off. I don't listen to them though. I pull the ball back as I walk. Then I let go. It rolls down the lane and knocks all the pins down.

"Oh my fucking god" Mattia screams. "Yeaaaahhhh" the short team screams. I turn around and walk back flicking the other team off. Then Kairi goes. I see Roshaun sitting by himself in the back, so I go sit with him. "Hey" I said sitting next to him. "What's up chunkie wunkie" he says smiling. "Nothing much just whooping y'all's ass" I say smiling. "Oh really" he asks. "Yup" I say shaking my head. "That's cuz I haven't been up there yet" he says looking towards the other boys. "Oh ok" I say dryly.

"I missed you" he said looking at me. "I missed you too" I responded. "I missed us doing dumb shit together" he chuckles. "Dude same I've just been laying my sad ass in bed." I say leaning over. "You about to be a salty ass when we beat you" he says. "Nah you finna be salty when I beat you" I says pointing my finger. "Come here" he says hugging me tightly.
