It was a beautiful day, as Katherine came into the parlor, just when Klaus told Rebekah, "Stay here with Katerina. I need to begin my plan to take care of Marcel. In case no one's filled you in, Marcel fancies himself as the King of New Orleans now. He has rules about killing vampires, so if you do end up killing any, it would be fun to find out what kind of punishment he'd come up for you. Katerina needs to be protected for obvious reasons, but also because Marcel won't second guess his vengeance towards Katerina. Apparently, she killed a few of his vampires back in the day. Like me, she went too far. She wanted the witches free from Marcel's grip, but when it didn't work, she fled before Marcel could exact his vengeance on her. If he finds out that Katerina is here, it won't be good."

"Why did I get elected as super bodyguard for Katherine?" Rebekah inquired.

"Well, Sophie can't really protect Katerina like we can. I'm going to be starting my plan to start war against Marcel. Elijah has a teenage witch to find. You're the only person available to watch Katerina," Klaus told her.

"Klaus is right," Kat told her. "Leaving me in a house by myself isn't a great idea. I'd rather it be someone else protecting me, but I don't care as long as you play nice." She looked at Klaus. "Just try to hurry up with the first part of your plan. You know Rebekah could care less if I live or not. And tell Elijah to be careful when he finds Davina."

"I will, Katerina," Klaus said. He looked at Rebekah again. "Oh, and welcome home, Little Sister." He then left the house.

"I'm going to the back for some air," Kat said, before going out the back. She then looked around, enjoying the beautiful and peaceful backyard, which had a swimming pool. As long as they weren't near each other to antagonize one another, she knew she and Rebekah would be just fine.

About half an hour later, when Rebekah heard the doorbell, she headed over to it.

"Who the hell could that be?" she inquired.

A moment later, she opened the door, which revealed one of the witches that usually assisted Marcel when he didn't want to use Davina, considering it wasn't safe for Davina to be outside until the elder was dead. Rebekah didn't know this witch though, so she didn't know if the witch was good or bad. Not until she received a magical migraine, which eventually made everything go black for her.

When Rebekah woke up and found that Katherine wasn't anywhere inside or outside of the house, she knew that she'd been bested. They both had. When she realized that, she called Klaus to tell him, but since he didn't answer, she assumed he was probably preoccupied. She then headed to the compound.

Marcel was on standing on the balcony, having just finished a chat with Klaus whom had just left for unknown reasons, when his phone went off. When it did, he answered it, which was one of his daylighters telling him that they had succeeded.

"Bring her back here. Leave her in a room in the back upstairs. I'll deal with her," he instructed one of his vampires. Then he hung up.

About an hour later, as Marcel was having a drink on the balcony after having gotten Katherine tied up, ready to do whatever he wanted with her, he sensed a presence, only to look and see that Rebekah was there.

"Rebekah Mikaelson. Last time I saw you, Royal Street was burning and you all were fleeing from the city from your daddy."

"I thought you were dead."

"You never looked back to find out. Why are you here?"

"Katherine's missing. Know anything about that?" Rebekah replied, standing not far from him.

"I don't know what you're talking about. If I had known she was in town, I'd definitely show her a thing or two," he replied, playing her. He'd learned from Klaus back in the day, after all. He was pretty good at playing poker.

"If I find out that you know where Katherine is, you needn't fear Klaus. I'll kill you myself. I'm sure you're well aware how much Elijah cares for Katherine. It seems that Klaus cares about her, too. Unless he just made a promise to someone. If you have her, we're going to turn this place upside down," she threatened him.

"Nostalgia's a blast and all, but I can't help you. It was nice seeing you, though. Good luck finding what you're looking for," he replied, before jumping off the balcony.

Klaus was at the bar, having a drink. That's when Marcel came up to stand by him.

"Why didn't you tell me your sister's back in town?"

"Well, I thought it would be more amusing for you to find out for yourself," he replied.

"Is there anything else I need to know?"

"Only that she's gone considerably more insane in the last century," Klaus informed him.

"I don't have time for Mikaelson family drama. You're my guest. Do me a favor and keep your sister in line."

Marcel began to walk away, heading out of the bar.

"I'd have a greater chance of drinking the Mississippi river with a straw!" Klaus called after him.

When Klaus and Elijah got home that night, Rebekah informed them what had happened, so the three of them went to go rescue Katerina, which turned into a vampire slaughter. So, while Elijah and Rebekah slaughtered vampires, Klaus went to find Katerina. It wasn't hard, since there was only one door that had two vampire guards, which he easily killed, ripping out their hearts. He then opened the door and blurred to where Katerina sat in a chair, tied with rope. She was a little injured, as well as half awake.

He knelt in front of her and snapped the ropes off her, before looking at her.

"Katerina," he called, hands on either side of her head, being gentle for once. It looked like though she had few injuries, she had or was losing a lot of blood. The problem was that she had the cure inside her, which meant there was no way of knowing if she could digest vampire blood, much less hybrid blood.

"Klaus...," she managed.

"You're going to be okay, Katerina," he said, before getting to his feet. He then gently pulled her into his arms and out of the chair, before blurring home with her.

After the slaughtering of the vampires, as well as after Elijah and Rebekah got home, Rebekah took care of her wounds, before getting cleaned up and changed. Because of Rebekah having nurse skills from back in the day, Kat lived to see another day.
