It had been a couple years since Aurora had been taken care of. Over those two years, she and Klaus had bonded and become closer with each other. She would always love Elijah, but he still hadn't forgiven her for past things when she'd been a vampire. He's always be there for her when she needed it, though. That was, as long as he remembered her. The Hollow had finally been defeated at last, but Elijah's memory was still gone. He didn't remember his vow to his family, didn't remember his family, and he didn't remember her or any other love or people he'd met in his last 1,000 years. Their mother or father could show up and he wouldn't even know they were a threat if they were. She didn't know anymore what he'd do if she was in trouble. She didn't know if he'd still be noble without his memories or not. And all of this led up to the present, Klaus and her stuck in a house, tied each to chairs, Klaus by chains and her by rope. A vampire named Greta was behind this. She wanted only vampires to exist, so she knew that had to mean that she was going to try to rid Klaus of his werewolf self. The thing is was that if Greta was going to do it, Klaus had to consent to getting rid of his werewolf self. He'd never do that, though. He loved what he was. She didn't think he'd do it even if it meant saving her. Sure, they cared for one another, but she didn't think Klaus would ever make a real sacrifice for her. That had always been Elijah's responsibility.

Klaus had tried to break the chains that held him, but he couldn't. This time, he couldn't save anyone, much less get himself out of the chair he was chained to. He knew that whoever was going to be rescuing them, it had to happen soon. When Greta had taken both of them, probably knowing that they cared for each other now, she'd bitten Katerina. He could see that she was still awake, fighting it. He hated being useless.

"We need a way out of here," Klaus stated.

"Well, I can't get myself out, but if I melt the chains on you, you can leave. She wants you more than me," she told him.

"I'm not leaving without you, luv."

"You don't have much of a choice. Leave and then you can come back with some help."

She looked at the chains and began to magically melt them, freeing him.

"Or I can wait for her to come back and I'll kill her myself, instead," he contradicted.

Suddenly, just as he got up, Greta returned. That's when a battle started, which ended in Greta being thrown into the sun, which killed her. Then, when she was dead, he looked over at Katerina.

As every went gray for her, she heard the sound of Greta being killed. Then she heard Klaus in front of her. She also felt the ropes being taken off her.

"Stay with me, Katerina," he said, and bit his wrist, putting it to her lips, making his blood go down her throat, saving her life.

When Greta was killed, the danger was gone. Because of Klaus, Kat lived yet another day. They still had one more thing to take care of though, so she and Klaus went to where Elijah was staying at. Klaus was just there to protect her if she needed it, since they figured that she could get his memories back by herself. So, in the end, Elijah's memories were restored.

That night, Kat and Klaus were in Klaus' room back at the compound. After finally coming to terms of what they felt for one another, they finally faced each other. Then, after a moment, they began to make out, before ending up on his bed with her on top, as they continued on.
