15. Picnic by the Lake

Draco's P.O.V.|||Saturday Morning
I wake up and remember my date! I can't believe i'm living my dream! I'm living the dream! I quickly get up and start getting ready. I put on my green malfoy hoodie, jeans, and some sneakers. I realize the blue in my hair doesn't match my hoodie so i charm my hair green for the day.

When i was about to leave o get stopped bye the one and only, Pansy. Shit i forgot to tell my friends i'm going on a date. I try to get past her b she's asking questions like why i'm in a hurry and since when has my hair been green? When she asks her final question, Are you going on a date? I can feel a blush go on my cheeks. I just answered her question without even saying a word. She tells me that i better tell her details later and let's me leave.

I rush out to the lake and start apologizing for being late.

Harry's P.O.V.
I'm sitting by the lake waiting for Draco when i see him run towards me. He starts apologizing and talks about this morning and what happened. I couldn't help but laugh at his story. That was such a Pansy thing to do. I reassure him that it's ok and we start our date.

I bring him towards our picnic blanket and basket. We sit down and talk and talk and talk. We start eating our sandwiches and chocolate covered strawberries. After we're done eating we drink some lemonade. It's already been a few hours of our date and it's so relaxing.

Somehow our conversation came to the topic of partronus's. I show him mine which is a stag and he looks at it amazingly. His smile is so precious. He has very white pearly shiny teeth. I ask him what he thinks his patronus is.

Draco's P.O.V.
I look at Harry's patronus and it's beautiful. I follow the stag with my eyes as it hops around. it's so beautiful, majestic!

Harry asks me what i think my patronus would be. I hate to say it but a ferret. I answer his question with, definitely a ferret. He laughs and i that's when i feel so light. His laugh sounds so beautiful so perfect. He offers to help me cast a patronus.

We try and try and try for hours. I guess i just don't have a happy enough memory. I was about to give up when i try one last time. I search through my head for happy memories and i think of the newest one. Today. My date with Harry. I think of our date and his laughs and smile. expecto patronum! I start to see blue come out of my wand and then an animal starts forming. At first it looks like a ferret but then it transforms into a dragon. How ironic.

When i see that i actually casted a patronus I begin crying of happiness. I never thought this day would happen. I think i'm in love with this boy. No, I know i'm in love with him.

I jump on Harry and thank him with kisses. Thank you thank you! I begin saying. I calm down and we sit next to the lake with our feet dipped into the water. I look at him and say the three words..

I love you

Did i say something wrong. I messed this up didn't I? Shit. I start freaking out and start talking about how i probably messed this up and i'm sorry and everything.

Harry's P.O.V.
Draco begins freaking out and idk what to do. I want to say I love you to him but he won't shut up. I do the first thing that comes to mind. I kiss him. I pull our lips apart and he's silent.

I take his cheek into my hand. I look at him straight in the eyes and say I love you too.

Draco's P.O.V.
He said the words back. He said it! Dreams do come true!

Throughout the rest of our date i take polaroid pictures to capture the best moments of my life.

Everything after that day is history.
