hwasung lay her head at the table while looking outside the class window. she arrived school pretty early and has always been early.
she enjoys it as she can have an alone time at the class and look at the sky from the window. just like right now.
she glanced at the clock hanging at her class wall. few minutes until probably someone will arrive.
just as hwasung was about to shut her eyes, someone opened the door so roughly that hwasung feel super disturb and she knew exactly who did it.
"every single day," she said looking at her classmate who just came in with a no-i-don't-feel-guilty-to-bang-the-door face. "hAh, i knew exactly you would be sleeping, you lazy ass," he said.
"shut up junseo, i don't have enough sleep," she said while laying her head down again. "you're always sleep deprived," he answered while pulling his chair out which is just right behind hwasung.
"at least i don't sleep during classes unlike the person sitting behind me," hwasung said with her eyes closed. "studying is so stressful and it's unhealthy so i need a beauty sleep to keep my skin beautiful," junseo replied. "whatever suits you, imma sleep don't you dare to kick my chair," hwasung warned. just as hwasung finish those sentence, junseo had kicked her chair.
hwasung immediately sit up, turns her body to face junseo and flicked his forehead. "iT HURTS YOU WITCH," he shrieked while rubbing his forehead. "sTOP DISTURBING MY SLEEP EVERYDAY YOU DUMBASS," hwasung said in return. "I RECEIVED HIGHER SCORE ON MATHS THAN YOU?! I'M CLEARLY SMARTER!" junseo said in defense.
then they keep shouting sentences at each other until a hand actually shuts both of their mouth.
"you both are so loud that i can hear your voices at the hallway i swear," ahrin, the owner of the hands said. hwasung removed the hand from her mouth, "he started it first. he kicked my chair! again!"
"oh my god i swear, i don't get why we're friends anyway," ahrin said while removing her hand from junseo's mouth.
"ew what the hell is your hand even clean to touch my holy mouth," junseo said while giving a disgusted look towards ahrin and aggressively wipes his mouth with his own hand.
"no, so suffer," ahrin said while pulling out her chair and sat beside hwasung.
just as hwasung was about to lay her head down again, junseo had kicked her chair. again.
hwasung turned and glared at junseo. while the boy just giggled in satisfactory. hwasung let out a sigh and return to her disturbed sleep.
the time keeps ticking as more and more of hwasung's classmate came. when the time came, the bell rang indicating that school time had started and everyone who enter the gate will be considered late.
hwasung took out her books from her bag and arrange them on her table neatly along with her stationary. then she and ahrin chatted a little while waiting for the teacher to enter.
"mic check," a voice said through the class loudspeaker. "good morning everyone, this is doyoung, your student council president speaking. we have a few announcement to tell and i hope everyone would listen carefully," the voice from the speaker said.
the class president then silenced all of hwasung's classmate so that everyone can listen to the announcement clearly.
"as everyone should have know, our school always held an annual sports week every year am i right?" doyoung asked. few students nodded a little or mumbled a 'yes' to themselves.
"we have decided that the annual sports week will take place at the fourth week of next month. exactly a month away, i believe that's a lot of time to practice isn't it?" doyoung said again.
few students started to get a little noisy as they were discussing on what sports they should join and who should their class sent. after a long pause, doyoung said something else.
"but," he said. the class president immediately told the class to stay quiet as it seems like the council has more to say.
"there will be a huge difference this year," he said. and the students started to get noisy again. everyone was asking among themselves what it was and what kind of difference will this year be.
"during sports week we've always compete against other classes didn't we? doesn't that starts to get boring? so the school has decided to give a difference this year. we will enlarge the rivals. we will be competing against few different school!" doyoung said with excitement in his voice. "doesn't that sounds exciting?"
then the whole school goes wild. hwasung's classmates all started to discuss about the idea. not just her class the other class seems to be in the same situation. the whole hallway is so noisy.
"okay students can i have your attention again?" doyoung said over the speaker. the noise in the hallway started to decrease. "since we will be competing against other schools, we shall have the best people as our representative shouldn't we? which is why all of the official members of the school team for will be joining. however, since it's sport day, the whole school should be given a chance to participate am i right? and we are giving y'all the chance. today, after lunch, go to the indoor court to register for the sports you would like to participate in. tomorrow, the selection will be held. students who doesn't want to participate at the sports can sign up as the committee members as we need a huge number of members to make sure this even run well. that is all i have to say for now, if there's more to say we'll inform it immediately, thank you."
as the the council president closes the announcement, the noise is back. everyone is discussing which sport they want to take, what they think about the change. some just wanna be a supporter while some wanted to apply for committee to at least do something helpful.
the discussion was later interupted as the teacher enter the class.

just wanna say all of hwasung's friend mentioned here (junseo, ahrin, hajoon) doesn't have a face claim. so you can imagine them as you like!
as for doyoung, i imagined it as treasure kim doyoung. but it's totally up to you to imagine who you want :)
