Imperfect

"Harm! I wanna show you something" Alec held my hand as he took me to the river.
"Hi!" I said as I suddenly spotted Chris and Jace on my left.

"Harmony! Come with us. I have a big birthday cake for you!" Chris caught my hand. I followed him with laughter. I turned to my right where, I expected to see Alec. But instead, I saw Jace.

"Woah, wait a second. Where is Alec?" I asked both of them. They didn't reply. They were just walking with a smile on their face. "Where is Alec!!!??" I screamed.

They stopped and looked at me. Suddenly their smiles faded. With a neutral expression Chris blurted out "Alec? You don't know about him? Harmony, Alec is dead....."

"Huh?" I opened my eyes. It was dream. Thank god.
Of course it had to be, I mean Alec can't be dead. Right?

I recognised the place I was at. Hospital. Maybe in  a special room.
The tube of glucose was fixed on my right plam. And I realised there were bandages on most of my body parts. I could also feel a tight plaster around my right leg.

I got up and sat on the hospital bed. I saw my mom sitting next to my legs. She was sleeping. I could stiil spot dry tears on the sides of her cheeks. She looks so relieved in her sleep.
My dad would be outside, most probably.

But Alec? What happened with him after I left?
I think he's be fine, he is so strong. He must have had a plan B. He has his whole life infront of him. It's nothing like mine, his life won't be ending like mine in sometime. He's going to enjoy his life. There is no end.

Suddenly I spotted a newspaper on my blanket. Maybe my mom was reading it. I grabbed it.
One the first page, in big bold headline, it was written " Murder mystery of Taylor solved : kidnapped girl found".
If I'm not wrong, it's my story. But it's written "solved". It can tell me what actually happened.
So I started reading it.

"Murder mystery of Taylor solved: kidnapped girl found

Saturday night in the PIRSLEY town, the kidnapped girl, Harmony Keats, was found unconscious. She was saved and brought to the hospital by Chris Williams and Jace Thornley of the same town.
It seems like the girl has returned after two and a half months after the murder night of Johnny Rae Taylor. She was chased and kidnapped by Taylor's murderers.

There has been firing in the Pirsley town, on the same night the girl was found. It is assumed that she ran away when the murderers were firing at each other.

Cops found three dead bodies on the crime scene. It is assumed that they have killed each other. The dead bodies are of three men namely Bryan Danksworth, Shaun Colby and Alec Reigns...."
