Fireworks

Hi.. stranger?

Finally reaching the rooftop...I saw the edge

Hannah: This is it! This is the end....I love you mom and dad...I love you Jae and Katy.

I stepped up on the edge... and looked down. The tears made my cheeks warm.

Unknown: Hey... What are you doing?!

Someone grabbed my arm causing me to gasp. I turned to see an unfamiliar person.

Unknown: Come down.. C'mon!
Hannah: Who are you and why do you care?
Unknown: Just come down girl. Please? You're life was not given to you to simply end it.(she gave me a bright but concerned smile)

She helped me to get down. Words couldn't find their way out of my mouth.I took a deep breathe and it struck to me." What was I about to do", realising how stupid attempt it was.

Unknown: What's your name?
(She looked friendly... But I was not risking telling her my name)
(She noticed my hesitation)
Ok don't tell me, just sit down (she pulled one of the chairs, that were lying there)
Hannah: H...Hannah... Its Hannah. Hi.. Stranger?
Unknown: I'm Marissa... You can call me Mary.(She said as she smiled)
Hannah: Hi Mary... Thank you ! I was about to do a very stupid thing.
Mary: Its ok....I couldn't let you jump!

We sat on the chairs, looking at the night sky...filled with stars, it was just....beautiful.
I would've never witnessed this view if I had jumped down the edge just 5 minutes ago. I was so thankful to Mary.I looked at her smiling face.She seemed relaxed. She asked me the reason I was about to jump, and  listened to the whole story silently.

Hannah: I cannot go home .. Atleast not now.... and I don't know what else to do?
Mary: I live alone. You can stay over. Maybe we can go somewhere tomorrow to get your mind off these things . How does that sound. As it is its the weekend..
Hannah: Sounds great!! But....
I have never met you and don't even know you?
Mary: Well....you have met me now.. right? I think you should come... But its upto you.
Hannah: Okay! I'll come with you.
(We both smiled)

I felt like I could trust her. She genuinely tried to help. If it was not for her, I would've been dead by now.
I followed her down and to her car and drove off to her apartment. It was a small apartment but looked new. We entered the flat  and I looked around.. It was beautifully decorated with bright colours.. crafts and wind-chimes. Looks like she was a artistic person.

Mary: I think you should sleep.. I'm gonna take you somewhere early in the morning, she said pointing towards a spare bedroom.
Hannah: Ok Goodnight.. and thank you.. once again.(I smiled)
Mary: Goodnight ✨
