Emmalin P.O.V

My baby is moving around a lot, and she probably senses my anxiety. My phone rings, and I rush to pick it up.

"Hello?"

"Emmalin. I'm coming to fetch you now." Antonio says.

"What? Why? Where's Nick?" My hand goes to my stomach by reflex, and I hear him sigh.

"I'll explain everything when I get there." He hangs up. Argh! He always does that! I grab my purse, and rush outside the hotel room. Leo comes to me immediately.

"Antonio called. He's here to fetch you." He gives me a sympathetic smile, which does nothing to calm my nerves.

"Antonio! What's going on?!" I ask as soon as I get in the uber.

"Sorella... Nick is in the hospital." I gasp, and my eyes water, but I blink back the tears. I need to be strong.

"What. Happened." I say, my voice deadly calm, while I caress my belly. Antonio explains everything that happened, and tells me that the doctors have given him the antidote already, and are just waiting for him to wake up.

A few minutes later, we reach Sunninghill Hospital, and rush inside. As we walk in, I stop short, and my eyes widen.

"Emma, come on. His room is this way." I shake my head. No. This cannot be happening now. "Emma?" I look down, and see the wetness flowing down my jeans. "What's happening?" He asks his voice filled with panic, which is unusual. Antonio is the one who always knows what to do, and does it calmly.

"My water broke." I say, as if I'm explaining it to a toddler. The first contraction hits me, and I shout with agony.

"What do I do?" He asks, looking around as if the answer will magically appear out of nowhere.

"Call a nurse, jackass." I snap, leaning against a wall.

"Um, right. Nurse!" He calls to a woman walking by.

"Oh dear, let's get you to a room." She says in a soothing voice.

"Why didn't you tell me you wanted to come out!" I say frustratedly to y stomach. I'm having a baby. Nick isn't here with me. It just hit me, and I begin to cry.

"Oh, don't cry dear, I'll go get the doctor. Why don't you go change into this?" She hands me a hospital gown, and I step into the bathroom to change.

"Okay, would you like to hold my hand?" Antonio asks, reading from his phone. Is he seriously looing this up right now? How sweet! I smile at him with tears still streaming down my cheeks. I grab his hand and another contraction hits me.

"Aaaargh!" I shout, squeezing his hand with all my might. "I-I n-need Nick." I sob, and Antonio smiles sympathetically at me.

"He'll be here soon, princess." He says. I suddenly feel angry.

"Lo spera meglio, perché se non lo è, allora quando avrò finito con lui, chiederà la morte." (He better hope so, because if he isn't, then by the time I'm done with him, he'll be begging for death.) I say through gritted teeth.

Sofia P.O.V

"This place is do beautiful." I say looking at the scenery.

"Okay, everyone shut up, it's Antonio." Dante says from the front seat." I get more comfortable on Gio's lap, and rest my head of his shoulder. Something about being with my brothers makes me forget my age.

"I need you to take us to Sunninghill Hospital." Dante says, and my head snaps up. After Dante explains what happened to Nick, and that Emmy is in labour, I wanted to cry.

"Emmalin Folliero." Gio says to the lady at the front desk. Once he tells us the room number, we rush to my sister.

"Emmy?" I ask, and her eyes snap to me.

"Sofie?" Her eyes fill with tears, and I give her a hug. "What are you doing here?"

"It was a surprise." Dante says softly, kissing her forehead. We spend some time with her, and I step out the room to see Antonio sitting on a chair, pinching the bridge of his nose. I feel like crying again.

"Hey, princess." He says, and I break down.

"Nick isn't supposed to be unconscious. He's supposed to be with Emmy. Holding her hand." I sob.

"I know, princess. I know."

Flashback:

Emmy saved me again today, from a bad man who took me back into a building with fire. I had a bad dream, and started to cry again, but nobody hears me. I look at the machine that tells my big brothers I'm awake, but it isn't there. I'm still crying, so I get out of my bed and go downstairs.

Antonio is sitting in the living room with a glass of brown water, but he looks up when he hears my crying.

"Sofie? Why are you crying, little one?" He picks me up, and put's me on his hip. I put my chubby cheek on his shoulder, and cry more.

"I had a s-scary dream." I say, wrapping my arms around his neck tightly.

"Shh. I forgot about the baby monitors being replaced, baby. I'm sorry." He says, rubbing my back. He lays down on the couch, and lays me on top of his chest. I close my eyes, and fall asleep.

End of flashback.

"Can I see Nick?" I ask, wiping away my tears. He nods, and leads me to his room. Nick's eyes are closed. I expected him to be hooked up to a bunch of IVs, but he isn't.

"Hey Nicky." I start. "Emmy is in labour. Your daughter will be here soon." Still nothing. Time for plan B. "She's in a lot of pain, Nick!" I nearly shout. I mean, can he not just wake up? "She needs you! Did you hear me Nick? Your angel needs you!" He sucks in a sharp breath, and sits upright. I hug him tight. "You scared us, you jackass." I say, and he chuckles.

"Number one, don't ever call me Nicky again. Now, where is my angel."
