One month later:

Nicholas P.O.V

I stand at the end of the isle, waiting for my beautiful bride to enter. There are a lot of people here, and the chapel is full. Sofie, as the maid of honour, walks in first, helping the flower girls to the front. Once she's

taken her place, the music begins, and Antonio walks in, with Emmalin on his arm. My breath hitches when I see her. She looks absolutely stunning. She asked Sofie to do the wedding dress, but Sofie told her she wanted the wedding dress to be done by a professional. Eventually, Sofie designed the dress, and told the professionals exactly what she wanted done and which materials to use. She did the final touches herself, too.

When my eyes met Emmalin's I stopped breathing. She looked absolutely gorgeous. They all say that when you lock eyes with your bride, everyone else disappears. Well, that isn't true. I am very aware of everyone else in the room. I just couldn't care less about any of them.

"They would have been proud of you." Emmalin says. We're currently dancing to one of the slow songs at reception.

"What?" I ask, looking down at her.

"Your parents. I didn't know them, but I do know that if they were here, they would be proud of everything you've done." I look down at her, and smile. She probably doesn't know it, but she always says the right thing.

"They would have loved you." I kiss her forehead and let my lips linger there. Without a doubt, I know, that marrying Emmalin was the best decision I've ever made.

Emmalin P.O.V

Nick and I have been married for a couple of months now, and I've honestly never been happier.

Nick is currently away on a business trip, and has been for the past few days, but he'll be back tomorrow.

"Hey, Emmy!" Sofie chirps, while Stefano, her bodyguard, gets in the front with Leo.

"How was school?" We speak for a while, until we get back home. By home, I mean where Nick and I live.

"Yup, and then ran out of the class like his pants were on fire." Sofie and I laughed until our side were aching. We were talking about the surprise party we're throwing Nick next week for his birthday, but got side-tracked. Suddenly, I jump up, and run to the bathroom just in time to throw up. Sofie is with me in seconds, holding my hair back.

"Are you sick?" She asks, and I shrug.

"I've been throwing up for the past few days, but I don't think it's a flu or anything. I feel tired, but that's pretty much it. I'll be fine in time for the party." I assure her, brushing my teeth. I turn to look at her, and find a huge grin on her face.

"Wait here." She instructs, and run off. She comes back panting, and grins again. She shoves a packet into my hands, and steps out of the bathroom. Confused, I open the bag, and see five different pregnancy tests. Am I pregnant?

"Stop thinking about it, and take the test." Sofie calls from outside, snapping me out of my daze.

"Can you look? I can't do it." Sofie nods and takes a peek. I cover my eyes with my hands. Sofie gasps, and I know what the results are.

"I'm going to be he coolest aunt in the world!" She squeals, hugging me while I cry happy tears. "When are you going to tell him?" I think about it for a second.

"I'll tell him next week. After the party."

One week later... (tenth of December.)

"Wake up, birthday boy." I gently shake my husband awake, but he only pulls me down, and uses me as a teddy bear. I let out a giggle. "Come on, let's go out for breakfast." He grumbles incoherent words into my neck, making me giggle again.

Reluctantly, he gets out of bed, and we go to a nice café for breakfast. I asked Antonio to call for an urgent meeting later, so we can get everything ready for his party.

"He's here!" Sofie shouts, and I switch off the lights. We all find a hiding space, and he walks into the house placing his keys down. As soon as he switches the light on, we all scream "Happy birthday!" Nick grins wide, and scans the crowd, until his gaze meets mine. He wraps his arms around my waist, and rests his forehead against mine.

"I should have known." He whispers, and I grin.

"How could you? I happen to be extremely unpredictable." He chuckles softly, before placing a soft kiss to my lips. I made sure my outfit was loose, because I've noticed a baby bump forming on my belly.

"I love you, Mrs Donatello."

"I love you Mr Donatello."

The party went really well, and afterwards, I dragged him outside.

"Angel, it's freezing." He whines, but I ignore him.

"Stop whining. I'm giving you your present." I say sternly. Well, that got his attention.

I make him sit down, and climb into his lap. "I must say, this is the most expansive gift I've ever given you. Any guesses?" He thinks about it for a minute, before shaking his head. I roll my eyes, and hand him a box.

He grabs it eagerly, and rips the blue wrapping paper. His expression is priceless, when another layer of pink wrapping paper is revealed. He repeats the process three more times, until the box appears. Tears are streaming down my face already, and he notices, already dropping the box.

"Sweetheart, what's wrong?" I shake my head, and point to the box, urging him to open it. Reluctantly, he takes off the lid, ad his jaw drops when he sees the pregnancy test with two lines. "Emmalin, sweetheart are you..." I nod my head, and he stares at me for a full minute. Is he not happy about it?

"Four layers for four months. The doctor says I can know the gender, but I figured we'd do that together."

"Nick, please say something." I beg. Suddenly, his lips come crashing down on mine, and I see a single tear roll down his cheek.

"You have just made me the happiest man alive." He whispers, then frowns. "You shouldn't be outside in the cold. I'll make you some hot chocolate. Can you drink that? I need to buy books. No more leaving the house without me." He keeps rambling, as he scoops me up and walks back into the house.

This is going to be one hell of a few months.
