I woke up the next morning and got ready. As I was washing my face I kept thinking about my interaction with Rudy yesterday. It was just all weird to me because that doesn't just happen in the city and this one part of me really wants to be friends with him. I brushed it off as I texted the group chat because I had to run a few errands at the mall. No one was free as they texted back, "eating" or "studying so we can go out later." All valid points and I still had to study too or else I would not go out that night. I grabbed my purse and walked to my car so I could quickly get food and do my errands to then have time to study.

As I was walking out of urban outfitters I swore I saw Rudy, I mean he was staying in Natick and I'm at the Natick mall, but with a blink of an eye that guy I had imagined was gone. I continued walking to the next store on my list when someone scared the crap out of me.

"Fancy seeing you here" a voice startled me.

I turned around to see Rudy. I wasn't imagining things then I thought to myself. I started laughing and told him the story.

"Well here I am...what are doing here...with some friends?" He questioned.

"Nope all by myself but I'm just running some errands."

"Well that's never fun to do by yourself."

As he said this we naturally started walking together and talking some more. I learned that he had brothers, almost went to culinary school, and loves soccer. I told him how my dad and his siblings were/are soccer stars but neither me or my siblings got that gene. He laughed at the story when I realized I might be keeping him from his friends/family or the reason he is at the mall.

"Oh no don't worry I'm here by myself and just came to check out all the expensive stores I would never shop at" Rudy explained.

"Okay good well this is my last stop. My friend asked me to pick up some macaroons for her."

We ended up both being parked at the old Sears entrance and walked out together. We said our goodbyes and how weird this as was. As I got into my car I hear Rudy say,

"Hey what are you doing tonight?"

"I'm gonna go out with my friends at our school-you should totally come, I mean if you drink and feel comfortable" I rambled on.

"I mean if they don't mind I would love to"

"Seriously it's no problem plus they'd love to meet you." I hand him my phone so he could put in his phone number.

"I'll text you when we figure out what time we are going so you can come early and pregame in my room while I get ready."

"Sweet" Rudy says as he smiles and walks to his car.

I start my engine and smile to myself as I drive home.
