Rudy Takes On Boston

Maddie and I have been trying to figure out a way for me to see everyone again-specifically Rudy of course. Filming was wrapping up as well as my summer job and volunteer work because school was about to start. So what I decided to do was tell my work places that my last day is a week earlier than I originally told them. This way I would have a week to go out to LA and visit everyone, well the majority of the cast because not everyone was going back to LA. I had to pack tonight because I was leaving super early the next morning so I could get there at a decent time. Fast forward to the next morning my friend drove me to the airport and I repaid him with Dunkin for his drive back to school. After I'm seated on the plane I text Maddie that I am about to take off. I had previously texted Rudy that I wouldn't have my phone on me all day due to 'mandatory training' at work and he bought it. I fell asleep on the plane and woke up when it was landing. I was honestly impressed with myself for falling asleep because I never can in a car or plane. I get connection on my phone again and see a text from Maddie saying she is already here. I get off the plane and am instantly lost. LAX is way bigger than Logan and way crazier too. I FaceTime her to navigate my way and finally see her.

"I'm so excited you're here!" Maddie greets me.

"I know same! First time on the west coast."

"No way, well let me tell you that Rudy has no idea."

"Oh I should text him to make it seem like everything is normal" I tell her.

"Yes do that. Also I know that he has some work stuff until 3 so it gives us enough time to get you over to his place."

"Awesome."

We get in the car and begin to drive to Rudy's place while blasting music and catching up.

"Wow the traffic here is no joke."

"Oh yeah it's just like everyone says" she explains. After a while we pull up to his apartment complex and she pulls out his spare key.

"How in the world did you get that?" I say laughing.

"Oh I have my ways."

We manage to get into his apartment with about 15 mins to spare of the possibility of him getting home on time. Maddie hugs me goodbye and then I go to unpack my suitcase. About 25 mins passes and then I get a text from Maddie in all caps saying "he just texted in the group chat that he's back at the apartments." With that I set up my phone off to the side to record his reaction and stand in the middle of his living room to wait for him. My heart is beating fast when I see and hear the doorknob move. The door opens and Rudy doesn't see me until he turns back around after closing the door. This made me silently laugh to myself.

"What the-" Rudy stammers.

"Surprise?" I say with a wide smile.

"Are you serious?!" He exclaims as he runs up and hugs me.

"Maddie helped me out! Also I think you should be careful with your belongings because it seems like she got ahold of your key way too easy."

"I thought I misplaced it!" He said shaking his head.

I told him my traveling adventures and how we came up with this plan. I also explained how I decided to unfollow him on social media because I saw the fans get more pictures of us together.

"Yeah I know they can be a bit intense at times but that's totally fine to me. Now I can have you all to myself" Rudy told me.

"Anyways what do you want to do?" I asked, "I've never been to the west coast before."

"Wait a minute that's right. Well I was planning on hanging with some of the cast tonight if you wanna do that? And then tomorrow I have a chill day so we can go for a hike?"

"Ohh yes that's perfect."

We got ready to go over to Drew's place. I was very excited to see everyone but especially Drew. We stayed in pretty good contact and I missed him so much. He also doesn't know I'm here for a visit. When it's time we head over and Rudy enters first running to Maddie, giving her a hug, and saying thank you.

"Dude why are you thanking her?" Drew asked.

Rudy points toward the door and I automatically open up my arms to hug Drew.

"What in the world are you doing here!?" Drew yells as he runs over to hug me.

"I'm just here for a visit."

I greet everyone else which includes JD, Chase, Maddie, and Austin. We order food and just talk all night enjoying each other's company.
