Rudy Takes On Boston

I woke up to voices the next morning and noticed Rudy wasn't next to me. I figured someone was over so I got up to brush my teeth and hair so I would look somewhat decent. Once I got into the living room I saw it was only JD.

"Hey good morning" I greeted him.

"Morning! Sorry did I wake you?"

"No no you're fine" I said then kissed Rudy good morning.

"Woah that's new" JD looked surprised.

"Oh yeah um it's official" Rudy told him.

"No way that's awesome."

I laughed and went to make myself some breakfast while they continued to talk. It sounded like they had an interview today and with that Chase and Maddie walked in the door.

"It's a party this morning!" I went to hug them.

"So happy for you" Chase whispered in my ear. I laughed and said thank you.

"We figured we would carpool to the interviews today" Maddie explained. 

"Ah I see."

"And guess what! Bailey flew in last night so she's coming out with us too."

"Yay! That'll be so much fun to see her."

A few minutes passed and then they were off.

"Okay I'll see you later. I think Drew is just chilling today so see if he's free." Rudy hugged me goodbye.

"Oh awesome thanks. See you later."

A few hours later once I'm actually awake and ready for the day, I call Drew.

"Yo what's up?" He answered the phone.

"What are you doing today? Rudy and the others have stuff to do and I have barely seen you."

"Yeah I've got nothing going on. I'll be right down." 

"Perfect."

Drew lives 3 floors above Rudy so it only takes a few minutes. I hear a knock on the door and go to open it.

"Hey!!" I greeted him.

"How's it going dude."

"Not too shabby" I tell him.

"So there's this wicked good café about 20 mins away we could go to for lunch" Drew explains.

"Hey you sound like me with that wicked but yes that would be great. You know my love for small places like cafés."

We drove to the café and ordered and were waiting for our food so I decided to tell Drew about Rudy and I.

"So Rudy asked me to be his girlfriend last night."

"Didn't I tell you?! When I brought you to the airport I knew it would happen" he said.

"I know I know you were right."

"So how do you feel?"

"Very happy."

"Good. I'm assuming y'all aren't telling the public although I did see you post a picture with him."

"Yeah that was before he asked me but yeah we aren't telling. I mean we don't even follow each other on social media. I think I only follow you and Maddie and you guys follow me."

"Yeah it's a lot and I was just talking with some old friends from college on their podcast about how the fans find everything and anything. It's insane at times" Drew says.

"Right? I mean the thing is that I kinda get the fans perspective like I've only been a fan until I met y'all," I say as I jokingly flip my hair, "but even now it's like your my friends and I'm not on celebrity status like you guys."

"Well trust me I am not at celebrity status and to think of that is kinda crazy. Like Rudy and them are much more known than I am and that's fine with me but it's true."

"Oh I know like so many people have stopped him for photos and I stand to the side and watch. It's interesting and it shows that he's becoming successful which is the best part you know?" I said.

"Definitely" Drew agreed.

We ate our food and then decided to take a walk around the area. It was beautiful out and it would be a waste to spend the day indoors. Rudy sent me a video of some Maddie and Bailey doing some stupid shit so I showed Drew making him laugh. As we turn a corner we hear, "Oh my god that's Rafe from Outer Banks!"

"Hey look at you big guy" I said laughing.

Drew walks over and greets them and takes a photo. I hear a girl say 'is that your girlfriend' to which he responds with no no she's just a good friend.

"Just saved you from that one" Drew told me as he walked back over to me.

"Oh that I'm not your girlfriend" I said with the emphasis on the your.

"Um yes."

"Well thank you kind sir."

"You are so fucking weird" he said laughing.

"Oh I know it."

After our walk we headed back to the apartments where everyone else had returned. Before going into the apartment Drew stopped to hug and tell me,

"Now I know I've known Rudy longer and know that he wouldn't ever hurt you on purpose, but I'll be like your big brother and if he does I'll be here okay?"

I hug him back and respond with a soft okay. Drew truly was like a big brother to me and now I couldn't imagine a world without him.
