I get back to school and I head to the library to study with my friends. I tell them about my afternoon/early evening. The more I think and talk about it the more I realize I'm gonna miss Rudy when he leaves. It's weird because we just met but I feel like we've known each other forever. Later in the night I get a text from Rudy saying, "Friday night. Pasta. My place." I sent back, "Deal." I go back to my room and decide to find Rudy on Instagram. It took me a while because I realized I didn't know his last name but I figured I would go the the OBX page Netflix had created. I still can't believe I never put two and two together. Eventually I found it and holy shit he has over 3 million followers. I followed him and stalked his account and then jokingly texted him saying that I followed him but he probably wouldn't notice because he has so many followers. He responded with a sarcastic comment and I laughed.

The next morning I went to class and figured I would have to plan my day out so that I could have enough time to hang out with Rudy. My classes were heavy material so I always had to plan ahead if I wanted to forget about school for a few hours. I spent the day attending class and studying with my friends with a few funny texts from Rudy throughout the day.

Friday finally comes and I'm about to head to Rudy's. My friends joke as I leave that I'm going on a date but I really don't see it like that. Not because I don't like him but because I want to know him and become best friends before there is anything else in the picture. I pull up to his house, or his aunts house, oh shoot I hope I don't have to meet any family today. I knock on the door and it opens to a wide grin Rudy. He welcomes me into the kitchen where he has everything set up.

"I am so excited!" I exclaim and he smiles.

"Good because we are about to feast."

We make conversation about random things while we fix up dinner and we finally sit down to eat. We made spaghetti and meatballs with a salad.

"Oh my lord this is amazing" I say and Rudy agrees.

"Okay ready for some cheesey getting to know someone questions?" Rudy intensely asks and I laugh at him.

"Um cheesey and cringey? I'm all here for it. Let's hear the first one." I say.

"Okay, what did you first notice when you meet someone?" Rudy asks me.

"Oh geez everyone makes fun of me for this because normally everyone is like their smile or eyes but I notice their nose and shoes. Mostly their shoes but also their nose."

"So what do you think about my nose?" as he poses for me.

"Oh beautiful no complaints here" I lightly clap.

"And my shoes when we met?"

"Birkenstock's. I approve but not for a novice Boston bound kid but they seemed to hold up for you so hey I applaud again." I explain.

"Well thank you. Now your turn."

"What do you miss about being a kid?" I ask.

"Everything but also I am a kid just with his own house and car, you know? I basically play dress up for a living and I can't imagine it getting better than that."

We continue this over dinner and dessert and get to know little interesting facts about each other. We were now sitting in the backyard next to the fire when I worked up the courage to say,

"I don't know if you feel this way and it's so weird to me because we just met but I feel like I was always supposed to know you. In each of my friends I know there is a specific characteristic that they help me grow in if that makes sense. For example my friend Sam shows and teaches me everyday to be more positive and outgoing. But in the mix of getting to know her she became one of my best friends in all the different aspects of my life. So like you have this sense of adventure and appreciation for the world we live in and I've been longing for that. I've wanted a way to get out and see the earth and understand and love why I'm here." I realize I was rambling on and become quiet. I can talk a lot but at the core I am a shy girl who can get embarrassed. "I don't know I'm sorry if that was too deep or you don't feel that way..." I began to trail off again but this time I look up at Rudy. He's smiling.

"No. I know exactly how you feel because I feel like I never want to leave you. I don't know what it is but it's gonna be hard when I have to leave. But that just means you'll have to come visit me."

"Oo where are you headed next?" I question.

"First back to L.A for some boring business stuff but soon enough I'll be back in Charleston filming for season 2."

"Oh my lord I would love to come down. I've actually never been to South Carolina. Hey maybe we could visit the real Outer Banks together. I could show you where I used to stay...if I even remember the area." I laughed.

"Sounds like a plan Stan."

"Oh you sound like my father."

We both laughed and just like that it was time for me to leave. However as I was halfway to my car I quickly turned around and knocked on the door. Rudy opened it up confused until I spat out, "do you like want to come back to school with me and spend the night or something?" I was nervous and wasn't sure why I had asked him that.

"Or you could just stay here. My aunt and uncle are gone for the weekend?" Rudy said.

I smiled and walked back into the house.
