(Cedar's POV)

Cedar added a little more gloss to her wooden lips, and puckered them for the final smile. She tucked her glossip bottle into her purse and called Apple.

"Hello?"

Loud music boomed from her phone.

"Hello!?" Apple screamed back.

"No need to be so loud, my ears are perfectly fine."

"I know. Hey, where are you?"

"I'm at my dorm. Apple, I went to the wrong place with Duchess, you guys weren't there."

"Of course we weren't, it was part of the plan."

"What plan?"

There was a pause for a moment, then Apple spoke again, "I'd rather you don't know. Just know that whatever Duchess said about me wasn't true, whatever negative thing. You know the purpose of me hosting this party in secret."

"Yeah, in fact everyone does. Apple, where exactly is the party? How will I get there without knowing?"

"Easy peasy. I'm sending a prince on a dragon for you."

"Oh please, really? You just telling me in bold letters that it's none other than Daring Charming right?"

"Right you are, M'lady." Apple giggled.

"And that's exactly what he says to sweep girls off their feet. I assure you, I will not fall for his charms."

"Hhm, we'll see about that."

"Yes, you'll totally see." Cedar hung up.

She grabbed her bag and waited. After a moment, she heard a tap on her balcony door.

She opened it and saw the most stunning and handsome prince in the entire kingdom. His blonde hair danced in the soft breeze.

"Hey," he smiled, showing his marvellous white teeth.
Of course these words weren't beared by Cedar, she was immune to his charms. In fact, too immune.

"Hi. Look, can you just drop me off as quick and quit your constant charms?" Cedar headed out to climb on his dragon.

He tilted his head at her, looking confused. "Why do you hate me so much? You're pretty much the only girl in the school that couldn't care the least if I ever existed. I just don't get it."

"Aww, cute, you're not used to people disliking you and rejecting your charms, well guess what, that's how life works these days. Better get used to it." She browsed on her MirrorPhone.

"Oh, I get it now, it's because you're wooden. You don't feel a thing, and you don't care at all."

She was all fumed up right now. "I know I'm wooden, Charming, but you have no right to insult my being, the way I am is just the way I am. But you cannot use my immunity as an excuse to insult me." She hopped off the dragon and stood right in front of him.

"You know what, I'm rather gonna go on foot, and I don't care if Duchess sees me." She grabbed her purse and went into her room. "I'm not riding with an arrogant person like you."

She left and ran down the stairs, Daring calling after her. Her hair whipped at her face as she zoomed. She was the second-best runner of the school, after Cerise of course.

Once out of the school, she treaded her way to wherever she was headed in the moonlight, not even having the slightest clue where the party was.

She called Apple again.

"Cedar? What's up?"

"Could you tell me where the party is, I'm kinda lost." She calmed herself down.

"Didn't Daring get there already? He left as soon as I gave him word."

Cedar rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Yeah, but I decided I'm not going to waste my time with someone as rude as he is."

"Whoa, I didn't expect it to be that bad."

"Oh, so you already know he's a complete jerk right? And you didn't care to warn me."

"No, don't take this the wrong way okay, I thought you'd be able to get to know him as you rode, so you could bond."

"Bond? That's a disgusting emotion to share with a person like him. And yes, I got to know him pretty well, got to know his bad side before his good side. So tell me where the party is already."

Apple told her the directions and where the party is located.
Cedar followed the instructions untill she reached the party. Before she could give in her invitation (which was different from the others and the bodyguards were aware of the plan), she heard her name and a beat of wings.

The dragon landed and Daring hopped off, walking towards her. His dragon flew off.

"Pick me up later, will ya?" He waved to the dragon, and it grunted in return.

Cedar rolled her eyes and checked her nails.

"I know that's pretence to say you're bored, but I don't buy it the least."

"You know, next time, don't call me for nonsense." She turned to leave, but he quickly grabbed hold of her hand.

"Look, Apple told me everything you said. And I guess every word is true. I'm really used to people liking me, because that's my destiny. But I should also limit my arrogance."

"In fact, I suggest you delete it. You're a better person without it."

He blushed. He's never blushed before, but this is new beginning for him, a new lesson.
And it's all happening on True Hearts Day.

His eyes drooped down. "I'm really sorry for the way I treated you, my dad would've been very disappointed. I guess I am a jerk, a big, good-for-nothing jerk."

He turned to leave. "And you can hate me and dislike me as much as you feel you have to, like you said, having a bond with a person like me is very disgusting."

"Wait a minute," she held his arm, "maybe you can be a better person. Instead of using your wits to charm others all the time, do something reasonable in your life. And limit this player nature you have inside you."

He stood up close to her, gazing deeply into her soft brown eyes. "And maybe I should see the seriousness of being in a relationship with someone. Honoring my love to them is important, now that we're bigger."

He held her gaze long enough to dip in for a kiss under the moonlight, but Cedar was better than that.

She placed her hand on his lips and smirked. "Like I always say, I'm not like other girls, so don't pull your stupid tricks on me like that again."

He grinned. "You're way smarter than I thought, it'll be pretty hard to win your heart over."

"Oh, so you've fallen for me now?"

"Who wouldn't with a girl as different as you?"

She turned and gave in her invitation.

"You gonna leave me hanging?"

She turned once more and smiled. "With Cedar Wood, you never know."

Then she went in, feeling the rush of joy whoosh through her wooden body.
