Hey again. I really would like your guys' suggestions for this story. I can never seem to stick with a story, and people seem to like Romeo (my first story), so please give me your feedback.
Casey's POV
I knocked on Artie's door while whistling a random tune. I had been waiting outside his house for about 10 minutes, so i was getting impatient.
"Artie! Open the fricken door you dunce!" I yelled, kicking the door.
Artie basically lived alone besides his aunt who checks in on him every 2-3 days. His parents died when he was little, so he's used to being alone.
"I want to look beautiful for you Casey!" he yelled back jokingly.
"Don't bother you're ugly anyway! I'm used to it!"
It wasn't true that Artie was ugly. Any other girl would say he's hot, but I just so happen to be his bestfriend, so i automatically can't call him that. Bestfriend logic.
"Why can't you just admit that you think I'm hot Casey?" he said opening the door.
"You're dreaming Artie. I don't think you're hot, sorry" What? He doesn't have to know.
"Oh Casey. I can't wait to see the day you get a real boyfriend"
"I can't wait to see you get a girlfriend" I countered.
"Do you know how many girls want to date me?" he asked, smirking
"I don't know, two?"
He paused in thought. "Yeah probably" he laughed. "C'mon Case, we better get to school. I don't want to miss meeting your boyfriend- oh wait!"
I smacked his arm and glared at him.
"Y'know what? Let's make a bet" I said and crossed my arms.
He mimicked me. "You're on"
"I bet you I can get a boyfriend before you can get a girlfriend!"
"What are the stakes?" he asked
"If i win, you have to hit on my boyfriend, pretending to be gay. And sell it"
"Okay and if I win, you have to kiss me. On the lips"
My eyes got wide and my jaw dropped "I don't wanna kiss you!"
"Well you better win then huh?" he laughed and started walking ahead of me.
"Hey don't we both have to agree to the stakes?" I asked jogging up to him.
He stopped walking and turned towards me. "What would be so bad about kissing me?" he asked staring into my eyes. I could tell that i kind of hurt his feelings.
"Have you ever seen a movie, or read a book of how the guy and the girl who are best friends fall for each other because of something like this?"
He thought for a minute.
"You think we will fall for each other because of a stupid bet?"
I didn't respond because he made it seem like it was a stupid thought, which it probably is.
"That's ridiculous Casey" he said and started walking away again, so i followed right behind.
"So you don't believe it would happen? You're positive?"
He kept walking while he answered "No I don't believe it would happen"
"Fine" I stopped him by grabbing his forearm. "It's a deal then"
